Well…are you?
Today I started a small position in POWI, just to be long into earnings. I really like this company and didn’t want to miss out on a potentially blockbuster number.
Other than the token small position to fulfill my inner gambler, I doubt there will be many earnings plays for me this quarter, aside from IMMR of course.
For me, this downside is too much to risk, considering my gains are more than 40% for the year. There isn’t a reason in this god forsaken world to hold anything of size into earnings. The market continues to melt up and there are trades to be had on a daily basis.
In the short term, my efforts will be fixed on finding swing trades.
Ideas will be forthcoming tomorrow morning.

I admit I feel like a retard buying $AGU calls today. Although I am 60% cash and will see how it plays out. I get too trigger happy and need to work on that.

There was one of these or more that mentioned “recovering tablets” after the flood. The tables contained knowledge, and you can potentially connect that to the Babylonian (A considerable amount of Babylonian literature was translated from Sumerian) knowledge as legend has it “the tower of babel”. The biblical account of the beginning post flood is parallel to “the cradle of civilization” according to science. The city of Assyria is said to be named after Ashur, one of Noah’s descendants, and it goes on…
But basically the ancient knowledge was preserved before the flood and recovered afterwards So if you believe any of this stuff, it’s conceivable that the ancients had great amounts of knowledge.
Historically empires and dynasties and the ruling class have fought to preserve knowledge among the elite in order to use it as a tool for power and claim they are “in direct communication with God/the gods” and any speak against their rule would be blasphemous. (such as using astrology to “ask for a sign” knowing that an eclipse is coming) So it’s possible there has in fact been “lost knowledge of our history pre flood. Some of this is believed to be rediscovered and can be learned from Zachariah sitchin(sp?) and others but I think you should approach it with healthy skepticism for reasons I wont get into now. Nevertheless, if you find this sort of thing interesting, you certainly will be entertained.
