I switched to the Galaxy S4 from my Iphone a couple months ago and i picked up my wife’s iphone yesterday and almost barfed the experience felt so bad. Samsung is taking over and Apple better stop rationalizing quickly…

Cook knows shit about innovation, beating others to the punch, and delivering a highly marketable presentation like Jobs, and apple is doomed to selling the same phone until they can’t. Apple is supposed to be the innovator so it can capture the high end price yet how does it do that with an inferior product. Fortunately it still is a value stock, they still have no debt and jobs at least made it hard to fuck up the company… but Cook is trying damn hard to do so and the days of obliterating everyone and taking over the world are gone like AOL.

Thought I would write about the joke of a medical system we have.
I have had an insurance policy for years with a $10,000 deductible.
Confirmed with the Doc today that I have the hernia and surgery is scheduled.
He required pre op blood work and ekg.
The normal labs (like Quest wanted to charge $3-400). I said screw you and found a private lab that charged me $70 with a $20 coupon. The results come back on Quest paper and 5 days quicker.
I go to get the ekg and all want to nail me for about $1200.
Found an outpatient facility, told them I have cash, and they gave me the medicare rate of $322 (after some negotiation).
Now I’m working on a cash discount with the surgeon,facility,anesthesiologist,etc.
It’s like buying a car.
Never pay retail.
The system is horrible (already knew that).
You must really like money.
No, I just don’t like getting ripped off.
I’m sure one doesn’t pay the MSRP on cars.
Plus, I used to represent hospitals (15-20) when I practiced law and I know what happens.

Decent earnings, now its time to look ahead at what we can reasonably deduce: Apple will be over 600 by spring, as 3 things are all but a given:
a larger phone
a cheaper phone
at least one new product launch (watch or tv or both)
After this, Samsung will be seen for what it is – cheap plastic with no integrated ecosystem. Add on a China Mobile deal and we are over 700.
