That’s a part of trading. Your exit strategy has to be some kind of trade off between missing the large potential gain, and still letting your winners run long enough to have a profitable system that allows you to quickly switch into the next opportunity.

scty, a pain in the ass for me, I have construction background so when it came public at 10and I saw the sales and no profit numbers I was like wtf, and as it held, and broke thru 20 I was pissed, I had owned at 17, sold at 19 for a quickie, then it goes on it’s run to 28 and dumps to 24 quickly after earnings, now I read the conf call, now I understand wtf there business model is, not construction, but a type of reit for energy savings, which I have a 20 year background, fwiw, there book is approx. 750 million and growing, so it’s not the measely 40 mil a quarter in sales, it’s the 7 year backlog, which will only grow leaps and bounds cause, energy savings are real, it’s an easy sale, green is imprinted on folks brains…………..so I think i’ll buy a little, and don’t and the squeeze goes boom to 54 ish, fwiw, they’re us dealer network is like 5000 contractors, of course it’s always 80/20, but a contractor friend is a dealer, been one for 7 years………..it’s not biggest part of his business but it’s growing due to his long view
