Bonds are hardly down this morning. Everyone got lit up; therefore, it makes sense for us to bounce today.
Moody’s downgraded the outlook for Hong Kong, likely at the behest of our shadow government. And, the chinese market entered a bear market, all wonderful things to digest in the morning.
As I watch CNBC, all of the talking heads are incredibly bearish. The same folks were doing lines of blow off their teleprompters two weeks ago.
I am still upwards of 65% cash and don’t have a worry in the world. But we’re gonna bounce today, so be on the look out for divergences.

Probably, but seems like this china situation could be serious. Had dinner with my neighbor last night who runs global R&D for a big global engineering firm. He said they just had travel restrictions put on them to save money, and that they are already beginning to plan for “Cost reductions.” Apparently Europe and china are killing their financials, and he said this is the first time this has happened since he worked there (including the last two recessions).
An anecdote of one, to be sure, but the cooling china growth story could start to show up broadly in corporate earnings.
