It’s time to starve, America. The old farm bill expires on 9/30/13. Therefore the clowns over in DC need to pass a new one soon.
Even though farmers are enjoying record profits, the farmaid shall continue, through massive subsidies from the tax payers delivered to the cow jerkers over in farm country. The food stamp crowd, however, shall be starved to death, as one version of the new farm bill slashes $20 billion from the mouths of the unemployed destitute. Perhaps these chaps can shoplift or get jobs to provide food for their families. I believe upwards of 35 million people have the foodstamps, taking full advantage of the splendour that is America.
On this news, I expect farm related stocks to run. Fertilizer plays, as well as seed, should do well. Irrigation related stocks will climb and the food stamped crowd perish.
Here are some names. Select whichever ones you feel are strong and own them into the god damned farm bill passage.

Our food stamp programs are nothing short of a modern day crime wave. There are people collecting SNAP benefits who have jobs and make plenty of money. There are multiple SNAP recipients in single households, which is supposed to illegal. There are people collecting under multiple names.
Our government is paying bonuses to Federal workers who sign up the most people for SNAP benefits.
Our government is actively working with the Mexican government to sign up ‘newly placed” Mexican Americans in the U.S.
That program needs to gutted, and replaced with something with safeguards for the American taxpayer.

I don’t know what you’re talking about with the government bonuses and the working with Mexico stuff, sounds a little nuts.
But I would agree that the program is criminal. I’ve seen people loading up their grocery carts with food that I don’t even buy because of the price, and then they just wave that food stamp card and it’s all good. People are getting close to $1000/month in exchange for not having a full-time job. Now that’s criminal!
