It’s called DRAM memory.
Now go do some research and tell me who benefits from this sort of rise in spot prices.

That’s one little play.
MU
the flying piggy MU ?
MU
MU is obvious. There are others.
Do I have to do all the work around here?
SNDK
RMBS
ocz
Or go one step back to the silicon wafer producers, like WFR
Now you’re thinking.
Dataram corp DRAM
$ISSI
$TSM is another obvious one behind $MU and $SNDK….but I think $WFR has more tailwinds with lean DRAM inventories AND the resurgence of the Solar industry.
Lets not forget companies who test yields on wafers.
I have the names. Lets see if you do.
HSY tests wafers
seriously now… KLAC and ASX
BWLD – people who work at these companies need to eat lunch

What about AMAT?
Samsung, Micron Tech, STMicro
TER?
Was just about to say that too–seems to fit the Fly’s profile–good financials and growth, low debt, lots of cash, and high volume
Plus #27 on the short list–9 days to cover…and up 8+% today
ATE
HTCH (?)
ISSI, STEC and GSIT stand to profit from increased DRAM prices.
I believe ISSI and STEC are devoted to the DRAM space only. Although I have not looked at them or their fundies for awhile.
DHR
Samsung , micron who you driving at fly?
CSCD
Here’s a few
Amkr, anad, rtec, wfr, ter, cdns, fcs, wfr, form, mu, stec
ASML
I’m long RTEC. What you think about KLIC Fly?
I like klic
Buy HTCH anyway.
Looking at that chart… Sudden violent turns. Any chance the move is over or even reversing?
Japanese dram should be the high octane play.

Only on Ibancoin. Much appreciated Senor Fly. Crazy fucking thin Adr but has potential.
*ibankcoin*. A game fucking fail.
Meanwhile, my partner Mr. Partridge nailed that big move in KORS today. He always seems to trade better while sitting on his azz on some distant Mexican beach. Congrats Old Turkey!
Thank partner… this was pure luck and my affection for pretty ass portfolio…
Intel’s next gen chips are going to allow (more than before) the overclocking of DRAM. Does that have anything to do with the price of DRAM, I have no clue. I can definitely envision a much larger market for high performance DRAM than in the past.
For the past 5 years DRAM speeds have been more than adequate – not the weakest link. The market has been stagnant. Where is the demand for higher performance DRAM going to come from?
Also, INTC is re-entering the DRAM business. The times are a changing…
Pump of my old time favorite hardware site on the INTC memory business:

Hello John McAfee???! All settled down and content in Portlandia?

“The Backwoods” 2006. If you have ever wondered what makes a eurotard? This pos film may do the trick. Seriously, it is a mistake that hits the nail on the head.
Obviously off the dram topic but with the may 2nd deadline of print or flail in eurotardland could be useful.
how about electroglass? egls? oh shit, wrong era.

Can we say pipeline?

Great framework for thinking.
