Markets that defy gravity are perfect for squeezing shorts–because they cannot hold onto their shares as the market performs illogical feats of magic. Case in point: VHC ripped the chest hairs off shorts today, for little to no reason. It’s true the stock shouldn’t have been sold off in the first place. Nevertheless, today’s punch in the face makes for good conversation.
You know my position: 40% cash, 60% long, of which half of that is in VHC. I am very cautious here, but will never entertain the idea of going short. Short selling is for fucktards. I’d rather be in cash, watching everyone else die, than get my hands dirty.
At any rate, courtesy of The PPT, here is a group of stocks that have been identified as being in ‘short squeeze mode.’

Why you gotta call me a fucktard? That shit really hurts my self esteem and shit like that.
XPO is compelling.
GNRC-I took a chance and added a few shares at the close today and then I noticed that their shares were up over 7% afterhours!http://www.nasdaq.com/article/generac-holdings-inc-announces-withdrawal-of-secondary-offering-due-to-market-conditions-20121126-01032
I see a lot of 12631 picks in here. The blow up your account, pinless hand grenade types.
That’s an unfair statements,’since 12631 has minted money in 2012
ZAGG, TZOO, MOTR, FSLR, MHR is too hot for me, I don’t have X-Ray vision.
Maybe others have xray vision.
China is dead. With 3-d printers, getting cheaper who needs their manufacturing base? Then again, they are becoming more capitalistic and will be able to free up all the 3 year olds working in the factory to start working out on farms to produce more food and stuff as Jim Rogers watches in joy.
Like those printers too. But how far are we from metals, glass, and in general, materials that don’t melt at 150 degrees? Seconds per unit instead of minutes or hours? Until then they’re basically prototyping and mold making tools, not mfg. Good to see the tolerances getting smaller on even the low end machines, but this is still very primitive.
Primitive = room to grow.
A company or concept in its infancy.
No?
GLUU setting up??
Maybe off the fb crap.
Beautiful squeezy crap
Weight these factors in your decision to purchase shares of a company. What’s the first thing you look for?
A. Good technical set up.
B. Company owns or is pioneering a disruptive technology, good or service.
C. P/E ratio
D.You like the product
E. Dividend
none of the above, mainly what Central Bank is going to flood the world with money. .
True or not I don’t know but I read today that 40% of web traffic is related to FB as of this date. That is staggering.
DDD-Douglas House bashes DDD again on SA after the close today! Another negative article, suspiciously when the stock gets very close to hitting a 52 week high again! You have to ask yourself, could he have some sort of hidden agenda?
Anyway, I sold DDD today and I am hoping to pick it up again if history somehow repeats itself and House brings the stock down again.
Sorry Heaterman, I didn’t intend to reply to your comment.
Bjork!!!!! The person who Jake thinks I look like when I posted my real pic here awhile ago..well minus the blue feet.
