The Fate of the Modern World Rests in 0hio

Tonight’s election will be decided by the pasty, fat fuckers, from 0Hio. Of course I find it to be unnatural and disgusting.

ESRX and FOSL are getting poleaxed. I wanted to point out those stocks because last quarter their earnings were spectacular. As a matter of fact, I believe FOSL was up like $15 on earnings. This market is shit. Even if we run higher on QE, the earnings are for shit. Not only that, the volatility is so absurd, it’s almost impossible to trust holding stocks for more than 3 months.

How can investors buy and hold with this sort of punitive pinless hand grenade action (No Zillow or BSFT)?

You cannot. Therefore, keep trading, trusting nothing and take profits whenever you can. If a stock you sold soars, don’t even think about it. For every 1 missed opportunity, there will be 10 avoided tragedies.

Fuck this market, fuck the elections and fuck 0hio.

Fly is so right, how pathetic that a bunch of morons who can’t see the obvious in Ohio decide the fate of western civilization. Romney may not be Mr. perfect, but a vote for Obama is almost like a vote for the Islamic Brotherhood. He will destroy this country if he’s re-elected – and that’s no exaggeration.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to know the outcome of this election.
Perhaps it’s best to be long shotguns, ammo and an underground bunker for the coming zombie armeggedon should Hussein Obama and his socialist backers pull off the con of the milenia…

May GD bless America, now get out and vote for our future – this thing could come down to literally a few hundred votes in a swing state!

            At least W was pro-US.
If you did not know, Obama said in a 60 minutes interview made on September 12 (just broadcasted yesterday in CNN), that he did not believe the killings in Benghazi were a terrorist attack. Obama lies and has no remorse whatsoever for the murders in Lybia.

I don’t know who is going to win. I think Romney has about a 20% chance. Close polls don’t mean much when most favor one side. And most favor Obama. The girls will decide this one, And they like Obama.

The challenger is favored in a close race. The independents and undecideds lean towards the challenger. The voter turnout favors the challenger if the pols aren’t decisive. The polls taken assume a 2008 turnout. that was very much in favor of obama and if you put those polls as the same as 2010, 2006 or 2004 or 2002 or 2000 Romney pulls ahead in all of the close states and wins in a landslide by electoral college. No, I don’t think that will happen, but I think all of this points to 20% chance being way too low

243 Obama certain electoral votes (sorry guys, but with that many hispanics in Nevada and three-fourths of the polls saying it’s blue, how can you argue with reality).

Most of the polls show a 3% to 5% margin in Ohio (18 elec.votes) and Wisconsin (10 votes). So right there, it’s a done deal, over, finished.

Doesn’t matter what happens now in FL, NC, VA, IA, or even NH.

The problem with your theory is whatever poll you are using is probably a +6 democratic sample.
Not even PA or MI is safe for Obama, plus even many of the supposed blue states aren’t in the 90% confidence interval so many of them have the chance to pull an unexpected rare, (but possible) upset. True you might say that about Romney too, but most likely the voter turnout mirros an average of 2004 2008 and 2010. If that happens get ready for a Romney landslide

I spent 1/3 of my life in MI, and MI voters remember who saved GM vs. who was ready to liquidate the corporation and sell the parts to scrap dealers. They also don’t have fond memories of Mr. Romney or his father, the late governor of MI. I predict Obama wins MI by an 8% margin.

A Detroit News/WDIV-TV poll has Obama with a three-point lead Obama won in Michigan by 16% in 2008. Baydoun/Foster poll has the state is deadlocked with actual a less than 1% lead for Romney.

All I’m saying is the polling data shows the possibility of an upset existing. That possibility didn’t exist in 2008.

The union has like, 5 proposals on this year’s ballot, and they’re all looking to get shot down. The UAW is very unpopular right now. Snyder took over and has generally smacked down Democrat opposition.

Things are closer here than they’ve been in a long time. Still generally Democrat, but closer.

True. Everyone in MI whose family isn’t employed by a Big 3 automaker generally believes the UAW has become way too powerful and in fact was one of the forces that brought down GM in the first place. That being said, no one wants to live in a “Ghost Town”, let alone a “Ghost State”. I remember back when Flint had over 100,000 residents employed by GM or affiliates.

you are seeing what you want to. Look at the results over various time periods and they point to different results. Or look at other Romney stocks or Obama stocks. Look at TAN etf and alternative energy over the last 4 years for example. That’s the problem with looking at data that you already know of and trying to use it to support your argument.. Being somewhat objective requires a hypothesis before you know the data, then gathering the data and being objective. It’s extremely hard to be objective there are so many peices of data. “the redskins rule” the “misery index” the joblessness rate, individual state by state economies, the polls, the voter turnout reflected in those polls, etc. So many things can skew results one way or another or expectations one way or another. but ultimately the results in this case will speak louder than anything else!

Obama did as well as he could with the economy he inherited from W– with the Repubs in Congress constantly filibustering everything he tried to do, no matter how badly that hurt the economy. At least he tried, unlike the Party Of No, that only obstructs.

It’s like spotting something at a distance: ‘Oh, look at the pretty hills…., oh, is that a hill? Um, wait, no, it’s a landfill.. no, it’s a coal mine. No, it’s a pile of shit!! Ooopsies. Sometimes that glitter that catches our eye is only an old remnant of an aluminum can, and not a diamond in the rough after all. But the longer one stares at it, the more sure one becomes that it was just a small piece of refuge, from the first time the glitter-effect caught your eye.

Unfortunately, women and their simplistic obsessions with uteri, boobs and birth control are going to determine the outcome of this election. Suddenly the pill and abortion are going to go the way of the Dodo bird and they’ll all be having back alley clothes hanger abortions and using the rhythm method for birth control.

Forget that the economy is in tatters, attacks on habeas corpus are commonplace and indefinite detention and illegal surveillance are now the new norms. We’re ballooning our entitlement/handout economy to levels not seen since, well, EVER and it shows no sign of abating.

YES – let’s determine the fate of our country based on your reproductive rights and those alone. Absolutely pathetic that abortion will determine EVERYTHING.

Not so. There are dozens of reasons why people vote for or against either candidate.

Repubs certainly have done a great service to the country by promising to deny women their reproductive rights though. Thanks for helping Obama to win.

Actually, women have been very vocal in stating that ABORTION is their primary concern and is the singular factor in determining their vote. To wit:

“It’s no surprise to me that female swing voters are going to vote Obama—he made their core issues the most vocal issues of his entire campaign. Abortion was named the “single most important issue for women in this election” by female voters in 12 key swing states in an October Gallup poll and Democrats have been serving up women’s issues including abortion, access to contraception and healthcare for nearly a year, hammering home a Republican “war on women” that threatens their right to decision-making over their own bodies.”

You kind of seem like the board iconoclast/clown and not very bright to boot so why don’t you just piss off until you can keep up with the conversation….

You cite that poll to support this statement?: “YES – let’s determine the fate of our country based on your reproductive rights and those alone.”

According to the poll, “Jobs”, “The economy”, and “Equal rights/pay/opportunity” were the most important issues for 52% of those surveyed.

Silly, women. Obsessed about boobs. Men are above such things.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Women in the 12 key swing states have starkly different responses from men when asked in an open-ended format to name the most important issues for their gender in the 2012 election. A plurality of female registered voters offered abortion (39%) as the most important issue for women, followed by jobs, healthcare, the economy, and equal rights. In contrast, men see jobs (38%) and the economy (37%) as the two most important issues facing men.

Seriously, you cannot be this retarded. Go back to the poll and see how women responded – NOW PAY ATTENTION HERE MORON – WOMEN. See the difference? Do ya?

Now, scroll down and have a gander at the What Do You Consider The Most Important Issue For Women In This Election. Lemme guess – women? lol

I can see the difference between your “abortion will determine EVERYTHING” and a poll stating that 39% of female registered voters in 12 swing states listed abortion as the most important issue FOR WOMEN in this election.

I suppose you didn’t take the time to notice that the poll posed a different question to women than it did to men. Women were asked specifically to name the most important issue for women. Men were asked to name the most important issue for men.

Sorry, I overlooked that you did notice that each gender was asked a gender-specific question. I’m not sure how you did that and then determined that women, having been guided to consider gender-specific issues, were obsessed with reproductive issues by selecting mostly non-reproductive issues as most important.

So you can be this slow….

“Go back to the poll and see how women responded – NOW PAY ATTENTION HERE MORON – WOMEN. See the difference? Do ya?”

No, didn’t notice that at all. *rolls eyes* How do you tie your shoes in the morning? If women consider abortion the most important issue in KEY swing states, don’t you think it follows that they will determine the outcome of the election? Look, I’m clearly taxing your cognitive abilities here by asking you that you make some not so far fetched logical deductions. I hope this wasn’t too traumatic for you.

I’ll try to keep up. Maybe if you added some !!!! to the portions of your comments that are the most!!! important, it would help me.

The error you are making is in singling out a single, likely important, factor as the determining factor (or, as you subtly put it, “EVERYTHING”) in this election. The poll results provide no basis for singling out abortion or reproductive rights as the determining factor.

If it turns out that the vote margin for a decisive number of electoral votes is very close, then one could claim that any number of single factors was the decisive factor – any single factor that might have tipped enough votes is a candidate. What you can’t do, even after the election, is to determine that any given factor was the one responsible.

More fundamentally, though, this poll couldn’t tell you that abortion was “EVERYTHING” even if 90% of women and 80% of men had listed it as the most important factor. Why not? Because its importance tells you nothing about how it influences the relative number of votes for each candidate. You could have half the women favoring Obama for his abortion stance and half favoring Romney for the same reason.

But, I’m a MORON, so don’t worry about anything I write.

Abortion age has now been extended to 21. If you aren’t old enough to drink, you aren’t responsible enough to live on your own, and thus are still property of your parent. Nevermind that it has a beating heart, afterall so does the unborn children which are aborted at the rate of 3,000 per day in the US.

The age of murder has likewise been suspended unless the individual murdered is over 21. The crime of killing children has been reduced to “theft” of property.

You have been notified of the law which takes effect in 2016.
