All Eyes on China

I hate when people write or say “all eyes on ‘XXX’”. Therefore, I just wrote it.

I am 40% cash, heavily long ag through LNN and MOS, with side dishes of CPST, EXK, RBCN and DMND. I’d like to say “the dick guillotines are rolling out into the city square, preparing for usage.” However, no one even knows where Bernanke keeps those things anymore. Besides, it’s summertime and Europe is as stupid as ever.

To put it bluntly, the fate of western markets lies in the east now, with tonight’s GDP numbers coming out of China.

Until then,

Ciao

When the current FOMC operations cease, longs will be begging for more QE. Until then, enjoy dragging that bag full of dicks.

I’m sure China’s GDP numbers will be fine. Even, and perhaps especially, if China’s true GDP numbers are not fine.

why does everyone put so much onus on China’s numbers??? They’ve been lying the whole fucking time and we know that..hello? Communist country? They can say what they want! No QE or coke left on the table and we’re grasping for straws…

Could be the mover for an over seas rally of sorts.

OR,

The world seems to be on the edge of collapse. Unless the Bernanke can cross-over from monetary to fiscal stimulus, we are fucked.

Quite honestly, even QE3 would only have a sharp, but muted and limited-duration impact. Money is fucking free at this point…making more of it available in theory, but without putting it into pockets in practice, is only a short-term trading event at most.

Fly,
Just got back from Turks and Caicos. Great time! Amazing food. Coco Bistro was phenomenal, and Bay Bistro/Caicos Cafe were stellar. Villa del Mar is most definitely the place to stay. Thinking about going back again next year.

I hate that especially because as soon as that news comes out, within seconds there’s a knob writing “now all eyes turn toward…”

It’s a farce.
