2012 Will Be Grim

I haven’t quite finished my predictions for 2012. As it happens, my time machine is in the shoppe and I am left with very little plutonium to travel forward. However, rest assured, all of the things you see and hear now will be resolved, one way or another, in 2012.

Perhaps the Mayans were onto something, with regards to the end of the world. Although we shall remain here in the physical sense, our spirits will be dashed as the entirety of western finance comes crashing down. If you think about it, the Mayans were true sages.

I expect short sellers will resume their headlong assault with great alacrity, immediately, during the calendar year of 2012. This means, you need to get your financial house in order right now. This is the proverbial last hoorah and you would be keen to lock in profits whenever possible.

All is not lost, for as servants of the stock market, we can profit from the demise of others like true macabres.

Many of of you are too young and/or stupid to understand what is at play here. So let me be bold in assuming you can read and write on a 5th grade level to tell you this: what you see here is a respite, a mirage of sorts in the vast dry deserts of humanity. Drink up the ambrosia best you can for giant scorpions are about to impale you and devour you whole.

Happy trading.

Wow, Fly. That 2nd to last paragraph there is the best one you’ve ever written. Your writing is getting more and more creative all the time.

Noticed more stuff has “made in..UK or USA” this year. Get better quality like we used to have, it’s worth the extra. Everything made in UK/USA/CAN/AUS should be labelled broadly as such. This is war men.

uncle har- Sadly, I think the war that most threatens Americans is the war with each other, and with government forces. When/if it truly hits the fan most people in the USA will go into full postal riot-freak out mode.

Right now what if for just one day no ATM machines, no credit card acceptance, no cell phones and Internet access limited to US goverment and law enforcement sites. How would that go over in your neighborhood?

Around here people drive like manics and clean out the grocery stores when 2 inches of snow is on the way. Some people would probably commit assault and battery if denied their iPhones. What if it were much worse?

The only prediction that matters for 2012:

The insidious beast from the Far East will bring the world’s economies–and the U.S.–to their knees.

And the Big 0 gets denied his precious second term.

    I agree.

Europe has the worst monetary system of all time, apparently no real idea that this is the case, apparently no real intention to ever change it, and plain and simple no real chance of avoiding on hell of a recession if they continue on their current path.

I DON’T think china will implode, because they will simply print money and stimulate, but their doing so will keep a floor under commodity prices and impair the rest of the worlds recovery. Bloggers galore will continue to blame 100% of the worlds problems on the FED and blame the FED for all inflation despite the fact that QE is occuring everywhere worldwide and china is the commodity buyer of margin.

The odds of a recession in the US are extremely high, and the odds of more war in the middle east are much higher than is fun.

Its a year to be cautious and hope for a REALLY OVERDONE selloff to buy, but generally just sit around and not worry about much. er, worry about everything but minimize skin in the game.

There will be no collapse like 2008. The Fed will print money faster than ever to prevent another collapse. The money printing will get so large that it won’t matter if the market collapse since the underlying currency will be debased.

Back To The Future. Look at 1979 – 1980 under Carter. Then you will see what will happen. It will be 2014-15 until we see glimmers of daylight. During that period of time the Democrats will convince the media that children will starve to death and old folks will have their breathing tubes removed by Republicans.
Impatience will be rewarded with losses.

If the Mayans could not foresee their own downfall, nor were they able to overcome this, namely the droughts and Spanish Conquistadors that finished them & their advanced culture; how should they know much of the consequences of 2012? Their calendar simply ran in approximately 26000 year cycles and 2012 is the ending of one cycle and the beginning of the next.

They will try everything they can to hold this house of cards toger through the next election but I just don’t see it happening.

Europe has weeks or maybe just days before their banks blow. We should sneak through the holidays but I’m not even sure of that anymore.

The spiral of communitarian change will be unwound slowly, as to not create panic, and to foster acceptance of the changes (with a bit of help from some very sophisticated propaganda).

The soul-less know no bounds in their efforts to acquire a soul by turning the world on its head, as it’s the only thing they haven’t tried yet.
