If you want to become a pro in this business, you need to control your fucking emotions. The most important aspect of investing is knowing your talent. A lot of companies that are big enough to get on Fly’s PPT list and are based on the TSX also have an American listing. For example, Endeavor Silver EXK is also EDN. Sometimes I note wild moves and play the arbitrage as the Canadian side is more sluggish to macroeconic events.
Don’t you get dinged on exchange? Or do you hold dual currency accounts ? I’ve done a few this year with EDR, WNR, etc. but end up with soggy peas instead of juicy steak by the time the MAN takes his cut after I’ve taken all the fucking risk.
Use a US money market fund and book a wash rate on each transaction. The forex only takes effect when you liquidate the money market fund.
