Just in case some of you were worrying about my current eating status: yes, I am in the process of completing the largest bowl of oatmeal the world has ever seen, alongside very high dosages of vitamin C and other worldly things, like bananas and Omega 3—things of that nature.
Developing…

Noontime oats? Indeud!
The oats will keep the shit flowing.
Processed grains aren’t that good for a nowadays health fanatic like you.
Who said I wasn’t eating grains straight from my field?
lol
Your field in the Isle of Staten?
Watch out for the heavy metal content, then.
__________
My 4th of July holiday menu will include: clams on the half shell, shrimp, grilled stripe bass, burgers, dogs, many types of draft beer, tequila, vodka, numerous bottles of red wine finished with some fine cigars.
Just keep the fireworks away from me, or else they’ll be calling me “stubby”.
Are you going to drink some moonshine too?
Do I sound like I live in the South?
In Jersey it’s called dandelion wine…and there’s plenty for everyone, so stop by.
GTL baby! Quint, the Situation.
May very well be that Fly has never seen Jaws. He was only about one when it came out, after all…

Where?
Easy on the carbs in the summer.
Sell some XIV here or hold, that is the question.
Thoughts as to why commodities have been shitting most of the week, today no exception, while the dollar has been melting away and equities are ripping?
I think investors and traders don’t want to “fight the fed” and TPTB clearly want lower commodity prices.
1. they had no business being that high in teh first place
2. few, even amongst the very intelligent component of the investment/blogosphere, have even moderate comprehension of reality, and had fuck-wadded themselves into believing that QE2 was “money printing” despite the fact that en summe it is monetarily DEFLATIONARY
the commodity guys are a crowd mentality right now. the old saying that “don’t follow the crowd” makes money in investing is likely only true until the crowd stops getting bigger, and mroe drunk and jubilant.
these tales, so fantastically woven, of the dollars imminent demise and hyperinflation and the belief that if the dollar goes down 0.3% commodities should rise by at least 715%, are plainly not realistic.
is that crowd done? is it time for them to pass out? closing time, or are we only approaching last call? I don’t know, and I gave up trying to reason with drunk people after the 3rd time I had a beer. Heck, silver might go to $100 and the chants may grow to an even grander crescendo than we saw at $50.
here are some reasonably interesting facts:
1. the last 5 and 10 years have seen the greatest annualized rise in commodity prices over that timeframe ever.
2. the dollar demise theories weren’t popular BEFORE the rise, they got popular after it
3. related to 1, there has never been a time in history when commodity prices hit a 10 year rolling return this high and didn’t quickly fall to a 10 year negative rolling return. by quickly i mean afew years.
4. related to 1 and 3 above, for all practical purposes the behavior of commodities this decade is reasonably in line with their behavior over, oh, hte last 200 years.
all from a stifel research report except 2 which is just an observation.
sometime in the next ten years we will see one hell of a dollar rally NOT accompanied by panic and a crashing market.
roughly on schedule, about 10-12 years ago now, the biggest market rally ever coincided with one hell of a dollar rally…
That last paragraph of yours should be read and understood by all. Everytime I hear talk about dollar up / stocks down I think back to the mid-late 1990’s. Dollar was strong as hell and the stock market was insane fueled by the tech and dotcom bubbles. It can and will happen again.
Some counterpoints:
1. There has never been as much debt at all levels by all measures as there is now.
2. Unemployment and demographics (USA is Trantor).
3. 4 or 5 wars right now.
4. Big banks (continued) manipulation of silver market is getting more attention nowadays.
5. etc.
People of IBC get your Vitamin D and Iodine levels checked during your next physical. I just saved your lives.. Your welcome*
Oats, schmoats. What about your coffee consumption? Mana from the heavens or the devil’s tool? Inquiring minds want to know.
coffee causes hallucinations apparently, which probably is a good thing
Can’t shit? Take some Miralax, that stuff works wonders.
I like the fact you put the Ferrari stallion picture up for your oats post. Now all you need to do is throw away those Egyptian sheets and get some Eddie Lampert blue light special 20-thread count KMart sheets, aka hay.
hehehe he said eddy lampert…….
Double down on the TVIX position… Keep doubling position as it goes lower!
How can you live in NY and eat that horse food?
