I posted this in The PPT last night. We are in the midst of enhancing The PPT algo on a very high level. The new algorithm identifies OVERBOUGHT and OVERSOLD stocks, using our traditional methods and adding in the important layer of time. As you know, today’s market will be different 6 months from now. I noticed when QE2 was announced, the market started behaving differently, ignoring old, traditional correlations. Seeing this, I set out to capture this change and measure it with our robots.
UGA (Gasoline) was flagged OVERSOLD yesterday, using the 6 mo algorithm. Upon launch, we will provide users with 3,6,12 mo algorithms for identifying OB/OS ranges, alongside the current historical methods.
