Yes on the mail order. I visit these guys at least once/yr. Measure 08 PN against the standard for the wine and it is spot on. This far south in the OK Valley is usually Cab Sauv terroir or Shiraz, but they’ve nailed it. They’re also one of the few wineries that offer Pinotage for a very good Vin Ordinaire.

Yes, Scott Bleier is that aggressive in real life. You can’t fake that or stop it. High hormone levels or something– adrenalin and/or testosterone. It has its advantages and its drawbacks. We benefit from the advantages here– high energy, good ability to focus on goals etc.

Dow should be up or sideways through this summer. But, we could have a 2 to 3k point dive this fall. Most likely catalyst will be a Goldman driven oil “super spike” to 170 or so.
But, bears will likely get trapped in a major short squeeze in late winter. Because, by around January, the oil/employment/housing crisis will have the republicans registering the highest pre-election poll numbers in history. It will be very hard to be a bear from Jan 2012 to the election. Fund managers will all be positioning for the guaranteed lock the republicans will have.
Unless there is a major reversal in oil/housing/employment, republicans could nominate a potted ficus tree, and still win. Not sure why they are sweating this campaign process.
It is literally impossible for housing/oil/employment to make the reversals needed by 2012, to prevent a massive landslide loss for democrats. What could the fed possibly do to reverse all 3? or even TWO out of these three?
