Fly, The strong dollar, Weak Bond Yields, Run on Commodities, AAPL run…it is all connected. Since 2009 there has been a HUGE move to stockpile Commodities on a belief of massive inflation from the Global Markets throwing Money into the air….the biggest culprit of this is the Shanghai Copper Bubble…I have been watching this grow like a massive Tulip…I need to cheer for my little dollar cuz I need that piece in attempt to pop that bubble. The one great thing about all markets is bubbles pop, but learning why it does is the priceless lesson I am hoping to learn.
Bearish on the dollar, maybe when Copper Spot hits under 2.00…which will be so nice.

I admire the fact that you i) have a thesis and ii) trade the thesis. However, not sure how you manage to hold on to the thesis for so long.

You have to remain objective to your thesis. Always. Another consideration with a thesis is you must consider that a thesis is not independent of time. One can have a correct thesis, but be awful in his timing and this will cost you dearly.
Always make a trade PROVE to you that your thesis is right by moving in the right direction. Keep your risk margins tight, but not too tight. I cringe when I read that some of you have let a trade go wide against them and then are back to even. CUT YOUR LOSSES and do not be afraid to put on the position again if you believe the thesis is still correct. Price is irrelevant! Most new traders will not enter a trade after getting stopped cutting their losses. Once they see that a trade has passed their original price, they stay on the sidelines and watch it move on without them!
Do not focus on the money, focus on your risk management and you will make money hand over fist. Take care of the downside and the upside will take care of itself.

Thanks. Quite an interesting article. I wouldn’t say the guy is necessarily paranoid, though he might be. He may have realistic reasons to be secretive. E. g. any well-connected highly successful trader could possibly owe some of his successes to insider information– which is a criminal offense that could land him in jail, if anyone found out. Who knows whether or not that is the case with this guy? But there are plenty of highly successful folks who have various kinds of skeletons in the closet that they are keeping hidden.
Plus, there’s all those envious commie types that want to key his car…
