I gather a great many of you were quite perturbed last night about today’s prospects. As you can see, following a slew of excellent earnings reports, things are very well indeud. My schedule is a bit convoluted these days, as I juggle the responsibilities of being a “space alien magician” and ripping down my house in order to built a new one. As the Lords of our land would have it, I have brand new responsibilities today pertaining to an automobile in great need of a tire change.
As I delve into this new task, I expect, simultaneously, to make a great deal of money in the stock market.
On a separate note, VLO posted solid numbers. However, I am expecting much better results from WNR.
As you read this, crack spreads are up another 4% to $25.30 and the stock market is on the verge of moving up another notch.

Blindly follow anybody and you’ll likely lose money. Does Fly have a 100% winning track record? Of course not, no one does. However, having read his blog for years I can say gets a lot more right than wrong. Some ideas take a while and may take more patience than some of us possess (in other words I sold FTK too early). Bottom line: if you read Fly’s musing on stocks you may get ideas that YOU can do further research about and decide whether they are right for you and if now is the right time for that idea. What you can not do is hold him liable because a stock did not immediately go up in value right after you got onboard.

The chart on WNR looks interesting but I see a lot of insider selling on this stock in the price range of 16-17. Even the CFO sold stock on 03/29. Now if the crack spreads are as good as you all say why the CFO will sell stock???. Just a warning and I am ready for the cursing and stuff….
the CFO sells 1,000 shares and thats supposed to be cause for alarm? Look the stock just has a lot more leverage in both their business (crude slate) and their balance sheet (debt/equtiy). Crack spreads might soften going forward, but the windfall has happened and any doubts about WNR’s ability to finance their debt are going to be gone with a couple quarters of monster cashflow.
