How can silver be approaching oversold when it just finally broke down? It’s still on the fringes of overbought. Not saying it can’t go up from here, but it’s damn far from being “oversold”.
Its not silver but the silver negative ETF that is over-BOUGHT. Its a high beta extremely volatile position that has swung to overbought very quickly during this bill run.

Since the inception of VXX we have seen, in this recent turbulent period, where the average stock has really only given back perhaps 5%, it rise this much only 3 other times, all of which were during the turbulent period last summer when the PPT hybrid was earning the MVP. So counting summer 2010 as a solitary event, this is the second largest rise in the VXX to date. Interestingly, there have been several incidents in which the VIX itself rose more on a percentage basis than we have seen here over that time. The difference is that most of those VIX increases were fast and furious spikes, where this has been a drift up.
This is of extreme importance, I am convinced, although I don’t fully understand it yet. It is as long as the VIX has risen and stayed elevated over that time without some significant market fireworks. And really what we’ve seen so far isn’t that bad. Maybe I just say that because I’m sitting on a gigantic cash pile thats earnings 0.00000009% interest per decade.
This is an important matter.

Deflation trade today after China’s trade numbers that showed 2% growth y on y. P/E’s still sit at 23 which is rich. If the economy rolls over again stocks are going to get hammered again.

I’m also thinking there is a possibility the Yen could strengthen big here as they bring money home to reconstruct.
