I think all these names will underperform the market for the next couple of months now.
I think the hot money from POMO will go into lagging stocks that still show good ERs and growth.

BTW, Fed can take their fucking POMO and shove it. TTM is real business and catering to the needy(in Millions) through Nano. Not some fucking GM bullshit.
The NY Fed website link shows 9 POMO days in its table. Above said table it states the Fed will be deploying a total of $32 billion between all the dates listed ($3.56 bln per day average). Wednesday’s POMO was a pikerish $600 mln. There is a LOT of firepower still coming between now and Nov 8.
Through the first 3 POMO days they have doled out 11.61 bln. Fed is slightly ahead of schedule upon further review. Nothing to see here.

Homo Pomo….but you know what, I saw it on the banner on bloomberg about the Fed buying treasuries should weaken the dollar tomorrow. This trade seem to always work cuz not many followed it…I am wondering, if GS and Bloomberg is all over it, maybe this thing has finally hit the skits? Tomorrow we will be also trying to guess G20 stuff and Fridays Pomos are normally weaker then the the start of the weak, plus a reverse play would really catch a lot that are playing it…..just a random thought…..

Producers are not passing on costs to consumers broadly yet. Look at the difference between the PPI and CPI (4% versus 1.1%). Housing makes up 42% of CPI too. Processed fuels and lubricants saw the greatest percent change yoy in PPI and they make up 20% of intermediate materials, supplies and components.

I like CLR and HES. Bright futures for both. Rosetta, and Orion, not familiar enough with for a quick comment. I assume you’re talking about the Mississippian Lodgepole formation JG? I did a large reservoir characterization/simulation/optimization project as part of my Engineering Master’s degree on a Lodgepole project in SE Saskatchewan. If you can find a reef, or a Wolsortian mud mound, it can be awesome. I am unconvinced regarding its use as a resource play however. Too much water. It looks risky to me. But… sometimes risks pay off.
If you like the bakken, try petrobakken. I’ve made some great returns on small Canadian bakken players that got bought up.
Fly’s approach via oilfield service companies is a good idea too. There are companies trying to get bids for big frac jobs up here in Canada (mostly in the Horn River shales, and Montney) who want to do large frac jobs but can’t get anyone to bid. Everyone is flat out busy. There aren’t enough crews and equipment to do the work even when “money is no object”.
