Everyone is so fucking concerned with stock prices. There is so much apprehension, due to bonds yen and a stalling U.S. economy, that a plausible and likely counter-trend rally is setting up to smash your fucking balls in with a meat cleaver. I’m not talking about some bullshit IKEA meat cleaver either. I’m talking 1950’s style hardware, pal.
Here’s the set-up:
Bank of Japan wakes up and helps push yen lower, which will RAPE all current momo players, leading to a full scale route on the currency. As a result, the NIKKEI will spring board higher, as well as most Pac-Rim indices. U.S. markets will be fueled by the deflation of the deflationary treasury bubble, oddly enough. And, finally, GDP data will be benign enough to support a late year rally. Nonetheless, we still go lower in September. But, this shit is building up; trust me when I tell you: PROTECT YOUR FUCKING MUSTACHES.
In the meantime, I will continue to play both ends of the trade and support a 15%+ cash position.

We’ll bounce, but it will (and should) be sold. We seem to have an increasingly orderly market that has decided to bet on a double dip. If your bias is short, the market has been behaving well since we broke out of the rising wedge. In any case, VXX in this scenario is not the best play – – the market is no longer shocked by declines. Time to short stuff.
61% retrace of July/August move and 7/20 support – both being tested this AM, should make for a nice bounce from right here – or after the bad housing data is out of the way.

Eurozone PMI (manufacturing) has slowed to a 2 months low edging to the trough of awhile back, no jobs story ongoing, D.C is clueless and out of touch, and it’s raining at Martha’s Vineyard so Obama can’t play golf.
That being said blue chips are still holding record cash, the spread between dividend yields and treasuries has to be at or near a record, and the wrong way public is out of equities and in bonds.
If I was day trading (and I am) I will watch for market reaction to the 10:00AM existing home sales.
Everyone knows it will be bad and the homies will continue to reflect this up to the announcement.
If they are bad and the homies don’t go down, I will be in XHB,ITB like Elliot Spitzer on a hooker.
If not, I will go practice my putting.
