Some of you old school ibc’ers are well aware of the story pertaining to “Jack the Convict.” For those of you who are unaware, check the sidebar tag “Important Matters” in order to get schooled.
Anyway, I am happy to report that Jack is back, only this time in the form of a Crustacean! The story is good, but the ending is yet to be determined. So, once the story concludes, I will be certain to update you via an Important Matter post.
The stock market is under some sort of “mountain magic” spell, whereby phantasms get into the wires of the trading robots circuitry and make it go down. Why else would this market go down, amidst such a wondrous recovery? This recovery is so good our Prezident deems it unnecessary to work. Instead, he parlays around the mountainside or his local golf club, in order to enjoy a little r and r.
Either way, “The Fly” is like a 200 foot oak tree that shits on your bullshit chainsaw. Scientifically, I cannot be defeated, since there is win in my blood.

Fly, in looking for the Jack story, I read you pieces about the “The Best Think That Ever Happened to Me”, and realize that AMER had a big impact on both our lives/careers. For me it was as an analyst covering that company – I met Steve Case in his first office when he had no more than 100 employees and watched that company grow until 2000 when I left my job on Wall St. two weeks after AMER announced the TWX merger…interesting.
You young studs should follow the wisdom of the old, old Sicilian proverb, “Potere è meglio di fottere”. For you illiterate as well as young that translate in English to, “Power is better than fucking”. It takes an old Irishman to know this shit.

Jack is the Iron Ore, Copper Speculators in 2009….they have eaten everything and there is nothing else to eat, therefore they must eat each other first….then they must die….and die ugly…like copper under 2 or even near 1 ugly…….I read a story this weekend that China Steel Makers are having to sell their stuff under cost cuz if they don’t get rid of it. it will just rust….there is a reason why Iron Ore Spot has been taking a noise dive….yet, I shouldn’t care cuz Stupid Analyst are looking at the price of Tubulor Steel in UK…screw them and can we flush them down the tiolet? lol….These Jacks have really screwed up the fish bowl and we can’t get a healthy eco system again until “hit men” are brought in to take them down hard.
Thank you for calling my attention to your piece on Jack. His legend should not be allowed to fade so easily.
Now, I must tell you that I don’t feel Jack deserved to go out like that. He deserved the death of a roman warrior in battle, not tied down with chains and subjected to the lions.
That said, I have a newfound respect for Mrs. Fly. She is truly ruthless, and would no doubt remove your testicles if the situation called for it (if she hasn’t already).
