My day is going to go like this: I’m going to short a stock or two that I will have researched tonight. I’ll use trailing stops in case of unexpected fuckery, and then I’ll watch the show. If the stock I short declines as anticipated, I’ll visit its message boards and read a little of the lamentations of the longs. Then maybe I’ll go out for a leisurely lunch. Maybe sushi, maybe Brazilian, I’m not sure.

Based on what Fly has said, this web site is very small compared to his other professional activities. I think he is quite generous and devotes much time and serious attention to this site, undoubtedly not in proportion to the income from the site.

I’ve been warning of this , backed by 3.00 PPT readings for more than a month now. I just felt it was incumbent upon me to rub it in.
I mostly trade futures and I bought into ES 1150, and when the market turned down I held the position looking for a bounce. But the futures started lagging and then just collapsed. From 2:40 to 3, everytime I refreshed my account I was loosing 2-3%, it was just devasting, my whole account was falling apart. I thought I would lose everything. Fortunately, the market turned quick and I was able to sell, but this market is completely rigged and I am done with it.

The action was too perfect. All sellers and zero buyers for about a 5-minute period, so trades gapped down all the way to just a smidge above the circuit breaker (would have tripped at 1053 on S&P). then kept gapping up as there were no offers and bids came in to move the market back up.
did GS & JPM use a planned NLE10 drill to start dumping part of the TARP stash they bought in March ’09? someone knew about this, because there were ZERO bids on the way down from 1100-1060 over the course of a few minutes. the buyers simply vanished at 2:43-2:46. spreads were 10 handles wide! bid 1060.00 ask 1070.00 that is completely illiquid. look at the T&S data on the full SPX contracts.
