Prepare For a Leg

A leg down that is. I am not talking about an ordinary leg, of course. I mean gay opera dramatic crescendo type of finale, taking the air from your lungs and the teeth from your mouth.

Nah, just kidding.

But for real, if you don’t have at least 20% cash on the sidelines, you’re gonna be shining my shoes. I will Fedex them to you for proper servicing.

I have no stock recommendations for you tonight, mainly due to the fact that I am driving around in my space ship. You know, like a kid, I am going for a joyride, with every intention of throwing tomatoes at the pedestrians down below. In other news, I know someone who fell victim to a cow biting him in the face. How about that?

At any rate, don’t let cows bite you in the face and do not let this market sack you of your coin. Quit doing that, you fragile ham and eggers. Also, you should be pressing your rights with the upper class of your local social scene, by way of obnoxious looks and murderous glances, whenever someone says “hello” or “do you have the time?” You are far too important to partake in “small talk.” Save that sort of jargon for the birds and the southern tea party losers.

America is great, because we can do all sorts of egregious stuff.

Off to see about a large mug of Earl Grey tea.

Good god I was absolutely raped by this happening in Brocade yesterday. Three weeks of hard earned gains wiped out in a single after hours session.

I am forced to retrench and regroup lest I do something stupid. Why couldn’t some extraordinairy event TO THE UPSIDE occur? Cuz thats just not how it works, i guess….

My favorite Captain drinks Earl Grey and he, like The Fly, is a man to be reckoned with.

    Strange days indeud.

The dollar looks to be weakening tonight but a quick cold-clock could send the Greenie soaring and stocks to shitbox.

I think the Holidays could be sad and not just in the way that people look back and say “oh, those were shitty sales but I got what I wanted”. It may be a thing like “I can’t believe Mr. Kringle would let US equities decline so rapidly just before Christmas Day”

Indeud. Expect ruthless conquests at thy feet. S&P to 1,200 eventually. Maybe. Or, maybe the match has been met?

Check your muti-year weekly charts for resistance and realize that this may be the end of the rally.

Ask Data if it is possible for a quick shot above the level. And then how to proceed from there. Of course, Mr. Sung would make wires from Gold.

I was just over at Tim’s Slope of Hope, which I do on occasion, and their is a guest blogger talking about market reversals and Elliot Waves, etc.
I swear those Wavers have a different interpretation just about all of the time and I get a headache reading about those waves and subwaves, the ABCs,ratios, etc.
I have a more simple formula, although it is proprietary, I will share it now.
Buy what goes up and sell or short what goes down.

    GMCR aquires Timothy’s Coffees, Guides 2010 $1.85-$1.95 (versus $1.75 – $1-85 prior)

    * * * * *
Earnings, Mergers & Acquisitions, Consumer Non-Cyclical: Food Processing
08:42 GMCR Green Mountain Coffee purchases Timothy Coffees of the World for $157M cash ($68.35)
The purchase price is subject to adjustment. The acquisition includes the Timothy’s World Coffee brand and wholesale business (but does not include retail operations), and will be maintained as a wholly owned Canadian subsidiary, with operations integrated into GMCR’s Specialty Coffee Business Unit. GMCR anticipates the acquisition will be accretive to its EPS in fiscal year 2010. As a result of the acquisition, GMCR has revised f10 guidance as follows:

    * Total consolidated net sales growth of 55% to 60%, up from prior estimates of 50% to 55%.
    * operating margin in the range of 11.5% to 12.0%, up from previous estimates of 11.2% to 11.7%
    * Fully diluted GAAP EPS in the range of $1.85 to $1.95 per share, up from prior estimates of $1.75 to $1.85 per share. The fully diluted GAAP EPS estimates include $0.18 per diluted share non-cash amortization expenses related to the identifiable intangibles of the company’s acquisitions and including estimated acquisition transaction expenses related to the Timothy’s acquisition which now are required to be expensed rather than capitalized under the new Financial Accounting Standards Board pronouncement on business combinations
    * capex $95-$115M vs. prior $90-$110M
    * Depreciation and amortization expenses in the range of $44 to $48 million, up from prior estimates of $38 to $42 million, and including $14 million for amortization of identifiable intangibles
    * Other key estimates, such as system-wide K-Cup Growth rates, remain unchanged from estimates released by GMCR on November 11, 2009 when it released fiscal 2009 results.

    Revised 1Q10 guidance:

    * Total consolidated net sales growth of 65% to 70%, up from prior estimates of 61% to 66%.
    * operating margin in the range of 4.0% to 4.5%, up from prior estimates of 3.8% to 4.3%.
    * Fully diluted GAAP earnings per share in the range of $0.12 to $0.16, up from prior estimates of $0.11 to $0.15 per share. The fully diluted GAAP earnings per share includes estimated acquisition transaction expenses related to the Timothy’s acquisition.

        Cor,

Then e sends em to me to do all the spittin and polishing parts. Keeps goin on about something to do with subcontractin and polish-default-swaps. I don’t understand it much, but I try to pass on the parts that make sense to this Tim fella who only comes by when he can afford ta.

I know you has heard that them vietnaiaze kids is cheaper, but I promise you, mister Fly, that they ain’t got a candle to hold to real craftsmanship like I got ere.

What does you do with all them shoes anyway mister Fly? Besides throwin them at those other boys that is trying to edge in on me business, that is.

Now listen closely boy; I need some strapping young lads to carry these crates of savory bergamot I just purchased to my factory, where their juice will be seeped through the bruised Camellia. So get you little urchins together and I shall pay you each a crooked six pence. But cross me and I shall see you flogged.

Just stay away from the finger snappin’ dandies by the docks with the kerchiefs around their neck and “haaaaayyy you” attitudes. They’re nothing but trouble and will take your bergamot back to their Macy’s department store perfume section.

Platinum is on the precipice of breaking out. Palladium already has. Since 10/5/09 palladium is up roughly 23% while gold is only up around 23% from 8/31/09. Platinum is only up 13% from 8/31/09.

Lumber is making a strong comeback over the past month too. LL could be a sell here, while homebuilders, home repair retailers, paper companies, and lumber mill operators could be a buy. It’s a little difficult determining where the demand pull from lumber is. I do like the news of an extended tax credit until next year and clawbacks from previous losses for homebuilders.
