– According to a filing, in Q3 Goldman’s interest rate on its long-term borrowings was 0.92% v 3.53% y/y.
– Goldman’s $203B in long-term borrowings is its largest funding source.
– As Goldman’s long-term borrowing costs decline, it help’s the firm’s profitability.
– JP Morgan’s long-term borrowing costs are about 2.09% and about 3.2% for Morgan Stanley

Tim’s contingent is getting shred like nothing I’ve every seen, there are more new blogs forming as we speak with “prized” posters jumping back and forth between them like NBA free agents. I’m telling you some of them are going to catch the blogging version of gonorrhea. Poor Tim appears to be barely reading these guest contributions before posting them as they get increasingly sophomoric with time. He really can’t afford to many more submissions that start with “I’ve been reviewing my past trades to see where I went wrong”. It’s bad enough I have to live with my own mistakes but reading about other people is positively depressing.

can you expand a little. All I know about these two chuckleheads is that Atilla the Hun made it big in 08, lost it all in the rally of 09 and now according Timish either Hun or Sol has made billions, but they’re taking the site “private”. A few of Timish’s lemmings have questioned whether they’ve made any money at all and that they’re just bullshitting. Timmish of course didn’t take too kindly to that.

I think it took a hit as it needs to probably sell stock to get out of the TARP. However from what I’m reading the most they’ll need to sell is around $9 billion which isn’t hugely dilutive and quite accretive compared to the government’s money that costs 5%. I’m not too worried and think it will do okish.

NO, not one of the lots has sold yet, and the developer has now put up for sale the adjacent 55 acres that was to be the future annex of the development. and these are 800,000.00 to over 1 million dollar places, 5 empty houses and 100 unsold lots….going on 1 year 7 months of being idle.
