Close, But No Pipe

The Overall PPT is officially in the 2.20’s—a reading where previous bottoms were formed. Research In Motion Limited (USA) (RIMM: 74.47 -0.03%) got its lunch eaten, by “cock-burglaring” Apple lovers. And, to make matters worse, people are scared and shit, due to “October jitters.” All of these things, AND MORE, will lead to a sweet buying opportunity. For the day, I nibbled on a little ADTRAN, Inc. (ADTN: 26.73 +2.49%) .

FYI, for you work gamers: It’s not a buy, unless you drop 250k on the name. Anything less, dear friend, is merely a “nibble.”

At any rate, most of you snail eating clowns have no fucking idea where the market is going, which in turn, makes my job that much easier, since I know exactly where it’s going and when (think time machine).

For the day, I believe my holdings were up a smidge; but who looks anymore?

See you fuckers on Monday.

Good to see Jim Goldman’s stupid lil’ mug in there. I hate that guy viscerally for some unknown reason.

        Jim “Baggins” Goldman…. you mean….

    • The Fly isn’t a tech writer. Aside from the shot @ HuffPo, this is all a list of tech centric blowhards.
Though, Cuban should be at the top of the list.
I’m surprised Cringley wasn’t on the list either.

Wow. This is interesting. College kids protesting against the high treason taking place at the G20 summit being tear gassed by storm troopers. Enjoy the bailout bubble inflationary depression boys and girls and don’t forget to bring your bib, it’s gonna get messy.

      • JakeGint says:

LOL — just saw your “tear gassing” vid. Complete with the Pittsburgh police sans gas masks.

ROFL. Scratch a conspiracy nutter and you’ll often uncover a distinct lack of attention to detail.

        ————–

Seriously, I laugh at the idea that a bunch of dimwit diplomats with very little economics training and even less historical perspective think they can somehow “direct” the world economy to do anything but whatever the fuck it wants to do.

You take them seriously. What’s more, you laud these douchebag trust funders who go to these events to destroy private property and maybe get laid by hippy chicks.

        That’s kind of frustrating.

From one economic conservative to another, I ask only this: Think about it.

What today’s protesters (and I use the term lightly) seem to lack is a good chant or two.
In my college days the protesters had catchy ones like Hey Hey LBJ How many babies did you kill today?
Or Ho Ho Ho Chi Minh.

I find these sound wave weapons interesting though. I recall seeing them on History Channel (I think) and were used by the Japanese whale hunters to throw off the Greenpeace boats. It is supposed to disorient you. One of the Greenpeace helicopters was spinning out of control and had to leave the sound area.

      • omfgitsjd says:

LBJ was much more cooperative with the military industrial complex than Kennedy. But hey, he made a significant contribution to the 150 million slaughtered by governments throughout history. I’m sure it made the big bankers euphoric.

In any case, once Obama finishes the transfer of sovereignty and your wealth to the UN, you’ll get to see all kinds of nifty new wave weapons.

        • JakeGint says:

          Oh please.

If I were to entertain any conspiracy theories, it would be that cyphers like Obama and his direct ideological predecessor, Jimmah Cahtah, are “put in power” by (pick your World Rulers of Choice) in order to discredit any further participation in the UN, and to ridicule the dovish/lefty “diplomacy through abasement” stuff we are seeing today.

Think about the actions/events that strengthened American hegemony over the years — they all revolved around “fixes” of prior weakness, whether Brittanic (in the case of Chamberlain) or American Executive-stemmed (in the case of Carter and to an extent, Clinton).

If anything, Obama is weakening our ties with possible one world progenitors like NATO and other Western treaty organizations.

If you think we’ll be closer to “one world gov’t” via getting closer with nutters from Venezeula and Iran, you’ve abandoned logical analysis for “preferred narrative.”

  16. StarscreamPowerPlay says:

Great take by Hugh Hendry. I also think we already had the inflation that everyone is expecting.

    • JakeGint says:

Not the hyperinflation. You think the Fed is going to “hold off” until then?

Every hint of deflation is met w. printing. That’s how it works when your currency isn’t backed by anything but your full (bad) faith and credit.

ROFL… It’s back up FWIW. I just checked out the “Ponzi Finance Indicator”. Apparently we peaked as a nation in Q3 1975. I’m so glad. I guess when Monty Python went out of production and Star Trek the animated series ended, there was nothing left to do. The US just went all to hell.

    Fly,

You gotta make sure you get some Accuquote ads on the site (on-line life insurance quotes).

I was just over on Yahoo! Sports and saw one of their ads, with the header “Everyone dies.” And the graphic?

Get this — it’s a bunch of pallbearers carrying a coffin!

Perfect “coffin stuffer” advertising, thematically speaking.
