I’m 100% cash since Friday. I cashed out on SFE and GLW and am looking for the next move. CIEN? SLT? GME? I would love a pullback on Monday to get back in somewhere. Thanks to IBC I’m actually making money this year. I got hurt in 2007, pulled out and regrouped in 2008. So far so good in ’09!

    Jake;

Have you ever watched the PPT relationship between putting the strongest stock against the weakest in hybrid scores and seeing how it gone?

FYI — that “Jake” above was not me.

Not sure if you were directing that query to me. The answer is no. I have invested in the strongest stocks in the past, and that’s worked out well. QSII and BIOS are two examples of past winners.

I still have BIOS, btw, and still like it a lot.

If a bear shits in the middle of CNBC and nobody is around to hear it, does it really smell afterwards?

What’s good for Bill Gross and Goldman Sachs, is good for America! The old GM motto revised.

This latest CIT deal isn’t “a rescue”, it’s a gift to Bill Gross and friends. For $3 billion, Bill Gross and friends gets $10 billion of CIT’s best unencumbered assets. That’s like 30 cents on the dollar. So when CIT eventually does go under in a few months, they make billions.

Of course the U.S tax payer gets the shaft as our $2.3 billion TARP investment won’t get any benefit or share from the $10 billion of best assets that Bill Gross and friends just took tonight.

U.S. government gave CIT $2.3 billion from TARP. If CIT declared backruptcy, the U.S. government would of been a creditor and would get its fair share of the $10B+ of unencumbered assets.

However now that Bill Gross and friends did their $3B deal today, when CIT goes under in a few months, Bill Gross and friends run off with the best CIT $10B assets all for themselves (as it’s the collateral for the $3B). They make billions while other creditors (U.S taxpayer) get the shaft.

I’m not a defender as you put it, if by that you mean I am blindly defending them. I just react to truther like swill that sort of belongs on 911 conspiracy blogs, that all.

Hearing China has a two option knockouts/ no touch they’re protecting because they sold the exotic option in the Euro.

Euro …1.3800 on the bottom and 1.4300 on the top. The way it works is that they own the premium they were paid if the market doesn’t touch either of those two levels. If it does, they lose it.

It will be interesting to see if this level 1.43.. holds on.

Supposed to be for a really large amount of cash involved.

Bruce — please tell me you are kidding. You mean the reflection from the camera lense as Aldrin approaches the camera? Does it not seem odd that said “frog” (reflection from his boot) moves at the same pace speed and (opposite) direction as Aldren does going the other way.

      Geez.

A few people watch the ratio of co-incident to lagging indicators as the only thing to look at.
This ratio was up this month, not heavily up, but enough “up” to count, which means the economy is in better shape going forward.
