Remember When I Said I Would Short Stocks?
I lied.
I couldn’t pull the asshat trigger on my targeted shorts. Tech was too fucking strong. Despite taking a stiff upper cut to the scrotum on the pain maker aka Flotek Industries, Inc. (FTK: 1.45 0.00%) , I made coin today, mainly thanks to gains in Corning Incorporated (GLW: 18.04 0.00%) and OmniVision Technologies, Inc. (OVTI: 15.87 0.00%) .
Call me a caribou crazy, but deep down in my gut, I sense a rally coming. Granted, I’ve been saying such asinine things during the entire 4 week death march lower. The fact still remains: “The Fly” is never wrong, even while losing, even when wrong.
In my experience, the market usually turns when I start slapping people in the face with hot slices of pizza. Let it be known, my trader/servant’s nickname is “Marinara Nose.”
For the week, I lost tonnes [sic] of money, as FTK/ERX taught me a lesson in stupidity. With the grace of heavily booted clowns, I will be back to my winning ways, sometime soon. If not, well then, I may need to grow a beard and start threatening my neighbors with sharp knives, again (just kidding, I only threaten them with garden tools).

Tough read for me..this market is one contrived and controlled mother. In addition to the GS secret sauce program buy sell formula I’m sure a room fill of behavioral psychologist plot buy sell triggering for the masses..Fly has good instincts most of the time and thats as good as it gets. I of course am one conflicted fucker. Sold out, 90% cash then got back in and I m up on 2 down on 5 positions..My day trades (by no means my forte) have been much better but I ve been conservative and bailed early on all.Anyway another weekend means lawn work (actually like it ..excercise ) and getting ready for one of my daughters to move back in..yikes I wake up with panic attacks….By the way DO NOT hire that crazy fucker to be a clown at your kids birthday, he threw the cake at the wall and shot the place up. He’s overweight tech. My problem is tech has been outperforming since about October, and it’s the only sector providign leadership. I don’t know when, but eventually all that optimism about tech improving productivity is going to play out. Kinda like what happened to materials a couple of weeks ago.
I don’t know when it plays out, but what I do know is that those folks who started the trend in October don’t want to give up their gains.
