It was a great game, watching the Goldman Sachs robots battle the UBS robots for market dominance today. At the end, the GSbots edged out UBS, via an egregious buy program on the Dow 30, effectively “Joshing” all shorts into the bell.
Please avoid the low hanging fruit of [[FAZ]], for they are poisonous.
I had a good week, with big dicked gains, enabling me to have visions of grandeur, aiming for triple digit returns. Howsoever, I am sure Mother Market has a few brass knuckled punches in store for my face, so I may need to slow my roll—bet against myself or some shit.
The action in technology is the best since the dot com days, let it be known. Stocks like [[AAPL]], [[RIMM]], [[ALU]], [[RFMD]], [[ARUN]], [[CSCO]], [[BRCD]] etc, run higher every fucking day.
“The Fly” has a specific road map plotted out, in order to protect his gains and clear the way for an epic/record year.
It was a great week and yes, “The Fly” wins again.

I read a profile of Wee Wayne recently that mentioned that since his diet is primarily Jolly Ranchers, blunts and watered-down cough syrup, he has major dental problems. So the grill isn’t just an aesthetic choice.

I’m putting a few eggs in a curve steepener trade next week. It’s ridiculous I haven’t thought about this earlier. That’s the best and only way to play the inflation trade. Gold isn’t for me. It should work in both a depression and an inflationary boom scenario while the chuckle-heads in the government keep running a deficit of this size.
Rates in the 70’s went to the stratosphere and there’s no reason why that can’t happen over the next 5 years or so.
The question is how to play it.

I’m messing about reading up and Bloomberg has a story on Julian Robertson pushing hard on this trade and I thought, it’s true. It could turn out to be a trade as big as the sub-prime short. You gotta be careful, it’s more than a few days old as he’s been hitting the wires obviously trying to get people to push on the trade his way, so you’d need to scale in as it could be a little one sided at the moment.
However that’s the inflation trade and it’s better than gold.
How do you play it with ETF’s or futures?
Just shorting the TBT isn’t a steepener though.
