Because of my family emergency, I was only able to “feel the market” for part of the day. I bought some CUZ and eyeballed buying more TWi—but never got motivated enough to buy some.
Aside from that, I am participating in the secondary offering, PL.
Overall, the market has a very nervous tone to it. I am not 100% comfortable being long. But I made my bed and now it’s time to sleep in it.
On a whole, the fundamentals of the market are improving. LIBOR is way down and once thought to be dead companies are finding financing. Do not look at the secondaries as a negative. Sure, some stocks are undergoing significant dilution. But, just two months ago, those same names were marked for dead. In my book, it’s better to have a $10 stock, instead of a big ol’ gay zero.
Eventually, the dilution will stop and demand for higher than zero returns will commence. If your game plan is to time every single inflection point, I guarantee your dumb ass will lose the house, cars, wife and kids, inside of 6 months.
NOTE: The inflation trade continues with gains in ag, specifically MOS, IPI, AGU, POT and TRA.

And I’m sure you know that 3X has “time decay” effect, especially if they are going opposite direction of your intent. I only use FAZ/FAS for like day trade or 2-3 day trade max. But I’m sure you know all these already…

LOL at XOMA. I bought a tiny position a couple days ago at .71 after Henry’s post, stuck a 15% trailing stop on it, and put it out of my mind. It barely survived yesterday’s bloodbath and then bounced around in the .60’s all morning today. I then went to lunch and came back to find that it had *stopped* out at .82 for a small profit. WTF?! Quite the little pop/drop there in the final 30 mins.

And today we may have tested and confirmed the new wave count per OEW:
“The market held short term support at SPX 883 this morning, yesterdays low. As long as the SPX 876 level is not breached, the alternate DOW count is in play.”
This would mean that we could be in the final leg up to spx 1001 before a retest of the old lows is made. Staying long for now unless 876 is breached.

well, in my world, money is money and profits are profits, when you buy 15000 shares of one and it goes up 100% in one day you double your money, if Ford goes up 100%, in one day, you double your money, what to these people is the difference?
