I love these arguments against placing a cap on exec. compensation – ‘the best and brightest will leave Wall Street’ Yeah right. Where else can they go and make more than $500k ? Hedge funds ? Private Equity ? Like any of these businesses are doing better. And if they were so bright, how could they not see this coming ? Fuck them All !
All this talk about the market looking to a second half recovery, what data points show a second half recovery? Where are they? The bullshit stimulus? The banks are surely not showing any indication of recovery.
And why do they continue to push back the announcement of the holy remaking of the TARP? First they said late last week. then they pushed it to this week , now they are saying next week.

T MOE, I think they use some model of the money that was in the market no longer there combined with the average amount of cash investment funds have had to put in cash reserves for people pulling out etc…. it is none the less a made up bogus number, and like we talked about yesterday, the majority of it will not be coming back, so the market for a LONG time to come will be far lower in volume than it has been for the last 10 years…… it is a new game, with less players, and less money.

I think perception and confidence building is what Obama is trying to do with the executive cap. I think if you are a big boy and you have to go back to Momma to get a loan…then you should live under your parent’s rules. The masses/tax payers need to have some confidence that justice is being administered and that the allowance or loan they are giving their children is not being wasted. They are also exacting a ‘ PRICE’ for coming back home to get money so that hopefully they wont do it again and get their business life in order.
When you act like a child instead of a mature adult you have to pay the consequences.
