ProShares UltraShort MSCI Emerging Markets seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to twice (200%) the inverse (opposite) of the daily performance of the MSCI Emerging Markets Index.
I was just reading all the posts above referring to this etf as ’short emerging markets’ yet not perhaps countries in Europe.
However my question still is…that SR. Fly said EM would outperform US in 2009. So I just wondered if he had some specific EM countries he was thinking about investing in.

Gold and the GLD are doing a dance the last week prior to tipping their hand and putting a toe in the water as to a genuine directional bias.
Multiple daily reversal suggested that GLD was failing — however, with today’s strength and the failure to follow through on the stab down from Wednesday’s candle it looks as if the benefit of the doubt has shifted to an upside breakout from a large pennant/triangle traced out since July.
This is the 6th day from the outside up reversal in GLD on 12/31 which failed to see upside follow through but, GLD has pivoted off its 20 DMA and may have pulled the rubber-band back for an upside breakout through the big pennant. The behavior after such a big breakout if it occurs will be key.
