As you know, “The Fly” is aligned with the stock Gods and has a very keen eye for market turns. The lack of volatility is HUGE for pikers on the sidelines. The market needs a few sedatives, before a move up. Should this fucker stabilize, we shall have the “epic rally” I was alluding to last week.
When that happens, you’re going to want to be long emerging markets, like Hong Kong and Korea. Hell, you may even want to go long those hari-kari cancers from the east: Japan.
In short, Zeus is coming down (from the heavens), following his afternoon snack of grapes and sweet ambrosia. He is bringing his lightning bolts and arctic water with him, and will turn many bearshitters into smoldering piles of ash and shit, sometime soon.

A slow start to a rally is kind of a good thing at this point. There’s no forced selling going on. There’s no short covering. People are simply buying stuff again.

I see good value in both Europa and the US with a clear preference for energy and insurance names. Retail sector not too bad either.

Fly is right, from a trader’s view, those on the sidelines are waiting for the volatility to drop and for the market to get boring. There is room for an “epic rally” here, but the Fed’s meeting this Wednesday is holding back buyers… A LOT of buyers. So although many of my numbers are pointing to a relief rally, news trumps technicals for now. Then you have the up-coming elections, which is another burden on buyers.
… if you can start buying here, then I think you’re patience will reward you. Just buy in small increments to prevent you from letting your emotions dictate your trades and lack of trades.
As it stands, Gio’s “epic rally” (haha, I’m referring to myself in third person) of 1,700+ points on the Dow is the one to beat.
