However, in order for the market to rip higher, in my opinion, the commodity bubble must be popped. You cannot have a bull market, when oil is above $110.

Right now, semi’s are melting up, led by [[INTC]]. I will not try to explain why. It just is.
Banks are lukewarm to down. The dollar is being urinated on by the yen. And, [[TSCM]] is ripping.
That pretty much sums up today’s market.

Fly, the mkt can rally with $110+ oil. it rallied when oil was $100+. do the asshats touting the stimulus of the tax rebate have any clue that higher energy will completely offset any tax stimulus. you cant explain the activity out there right now but you couldnt explain the activity in Oct when the mkt took out its prior high, but look what happened to the mkt post october.

PJ and GS both like FMCN even after cutting ests, see $2+ in ’09 and $65+ targets. Plenty of room for recovery at this point. I guess the all-consuming question now is whether high inflation will cause Chinese consumers to close their eyes while in elevators and lobbies…
All this rallying ends when people realize that we are approaching the 2nd half of the year and things are likely to get worse on the economic front , not better. Once all hope of a 2nd half recovery falters, the markets will act accordingly.
Ofcourse you know I fully agree with the oil notion. You cannot have a ripping market with oil up here bottom fucking line. Short oil short the dollar for a hedge..

Bought a chunk of FMCN this morning. Most Chinese consumers stare away from these damn screens, but all the dumb advertisers are still chewing up this media. Looking for a quick rebound to $35-36.
HD and LOW melting up, must be on the absence of customers.. or in anticipation of the ripping 09 recovery. Better entry point to short, imho.
