Its funny how the market does not care about the above info. It will continue to go higher.

I think the market tops out early next week and the next swing trade will be to the downside.

    The FLY:

Short FSLR on Monday and thank me later. It’s about time. 5N Plus (VNP.to) announces earnings on Monday. If VNP still can not show a sales growth to FSLR, it is a critical sign that FSLR really has run into a catastrophic supply shortage problem. If the news breaks out it could slash FSLR by half instantly:

Are you not AMAZED by the tellurium price run? Way much better than any stock. A triple in 3 months:

Why doesn’t anyone in the media look into how the minimum wage increase last year may be impacting our current economic and inflationary environment. I don’t know directly, but I’m sure it couldn’t have helped.

The point is, the minimum wage is scheduled to increase again in July, 2008 and again in July, 2009. Totaling a 40% increase in the span of two years (5.15 to 7.25).

If the Dow hits 30,000 it will be due to government induced wage inflation and the continuing devaluation of the dollar. Maybe we can print $50,000,000 bills – like they do in Zimbabwe.

Serious comment: I find 95% of the time, the best information from a posting on your average website/blog on the Internet is found in the comments section. Green Hippy’s Peeg post-link about mortgages (from late Oct. 2007) the other day wasn an excellent example (not Green Hippy’s post, but the post he linked to).

There’s usually someone (or a group of people) out there who will be drawn to a topic and have some more specific — and useful — information to impart than the original author’s more generalized “take.” Sometimes it’s a synthesis of post and comment(s) that makes the whole better.

To your credit, it’s only about 30% of the time on this blog.

    Gaps… hilarious.

I tried to write down some of the lines… this is sort of paraphrased:

Well, yes, “High Grade Structured Enhanced Leverage Fund” certainly sounds a lot better than “Unemployed black man in a string vest,” doesn’t it?

Fly — don’t be all sore.

You can still be the “General.” But you should recognize the value created by the community aspects of this site.

Surely you don’t think all those communists go to “the Daily Kos” just to hear that one asshat rant, do you?

(And I hate to keep using that example, but that’s the only site that comes to mind right off the top of my head that began with one personality and morphed into a full blown group of similarly directed retards. Even given that group’s high percentage of bomb throwing unemployed hippy schizoids, they still make for a pretty powerful combined presence. Imagine how much more valuable a group of retards with jobs and spendable cash money with which to gamble could be?)

Jakes right, there’s a lot of value in the “community aspect”… you should create a forum/message board for the blog, and as a result, you’ll have more permanant traffic, and more access to more information without having to check old posts.

    another data point:

i live in the midwest, in a medium size city. steady eddy economy here, employment and housing prices NEVER expand/contract wildly like on the coasts.

i was in Target this morning, the one on the “nice” side of town. the cashier was busy doing something other than her job, so while i was spacing out waiting for service, i glanced down and noticed a piece of paper on her “desk”.

being the assertive dick that i am, i reached across the counter, (and across her), and picked it up and started to read it.

it was todays “Huddle Report” – evidently, Target management distributes these reports to the drones each morning, and the report contains metrics about various levels of customer service (you know, as a motivational tool).

well, this report also contains details about store revenue.

its down 35 FUCKING % YEAR OVER YEAR.

    JJ,

You’re a big idiot. Short FSLR on Monday? Now is the time? Remember this you dumb twat?

Still waiting to cover FSLR short “in the low double digits?”

not time to short FSLR yet, not even close. It might fall hard, but prices of tellerium are going to rise first, and FSLR has cut down on costs. So they probably have quite awhile before they run out of supply and before prices get too expensive. By the time that happens, maybe they switch to an alternative, maybe they crash. But maybe they get bought out before that ever happens. Too much risk shorting FSLR… lets let it go on a run before we talk about shorting it.

It’s quite conceivable that FSLR will not go down, at all, for the next year… The new bill in Congress that provides solar incentives specifically extends the the 30% ITC to utility companies. FSLR, as anyone thinking of shorting the stock ought to know, is specifically making a large move into the US targeting utilities with the concept that their PV arrays (with ITC) are now cost-competitive with NG peaking power plants, and without all the CO2 mess. The new bill could be entitled the “FSLR hockey-stick vertical revenue growth forever” bill.

Tellurium? I find that infinite demand growth trumps material shortages every time. They’ll get the stuff.

Juice nailed it…market goes right back where it came from two weeks ago. The toilet. Fundi’s and news trump technicals. The news stream is aweful and getting progressively worse by the HOUR. Just wait…this week’s earnings warnings are going to be one for the books – no pun intended. The puters see 139 and once that hits or even comes close 126 it is but this time she fails. No way this market makes it through the financials miserable quarters, expecially after Barron’s comes out and says DONT TRUST ANY OF THEM.

By the way, how’d ya like that WAMU news…50% dilution on combo common/preferred/warrants and more. Still, $5 Billion won’t make a dent in their book of $200 Billion subprime, Pay Option ARM and and HELOC’s. WAMU could be in worse shape in CFC even with CFC’s new ‘D’ rating. Every time I think of WAMU I remember in July how thankful I was for Cramer and his relentless pumping of it, CFC, IMB and DSL…got all in at or near their 52-week highs. Thanks Jimmy…you are the best!
