A man faces several charges, including driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license, after police say he drove his car off a road Wednesday, hitting and critically injuring a pedestrian.
Police said Robert Sinn, 33, was driving a 2008 Chevy Impala north on Biscayne Boulevard when he left the roadway near Northeast 64th Street and hit a man walking near a bus bench.
Sinn’s vehicle also hit a palm tree, a streetlight, another tree, a bus sign post and a trash can, police said.
Witnesses told police that Sinn got out of the car, went over to the victim, who was lying on the ground, reached down, yelled something at him, stepped over him and got back in the car, according to the arrest form.
Sinn drove away before police arrived, but witnesses pointed officers in his direction, police said.
When an officer caught up with Sinn, he said, “Officer, I fell asleep at the wheel. Is the guy that I hit going to be OK?” according to the arrest report.
Sinn faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident with serious bodily injury, several charges relating to driving under the influence, and driving with a suspended license.
The pedestrian was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

There are plenty of cheap asses with lots of money that drive shitty cars relative to what they can afford. The concept of paying too much for a lavish, yet depreciating asset goes against the principals of making money even if one is “rich as fuck” and doesn’t need to adhere to them in every situation. Buffett of course is the prime example. To put 10s of k in a car for someone that can instead put that in stocks and make 25% a year over 20 years is pretty dumb. That’s 1M you’re throwing away… eventually.
Granted that may not be much to someone who is already wealthy as fuck, and no one loves a scrooge but the technology will be much better then and the things you can use that money for will only get better.
It is different if one depends upon the vehicle to impress clients or if it drastically boosts your quality of life more so than the 1M in 20 years will, or if one is young and has a “life’s too short” mentality and lives recklessly enough for the odds of making it past 50 being slim.
Nevertheless… Not everyone who has the money to do so buys a brand new car and puts 22 inch spinners on the rims, and even the megarich have visions of owning more, whether it be a car sports franchises, entire companies, another Jet or an entire country.

Hell of a conversation here but all I have to say is that he is wrong ethically and by law. I could really care less about what he blew or what his blood analysis cam back as. He hit somebody and fled the scene. This is morally wrong and he turned what could have been a misdemeanor into a felony hit and run…stupid on many levels.
