Obama Feels Confident Courts Will Uphold His Healthcare Law

“President Barack Obama voiced confidence Monday that the Supreme Court will uphold his health care law in his first public remarks on the issue since the three days of oral arguments last week.

In a rare instance of a president weighing in on a high court case in which the ruling has not yet been released, Obama suggested that the high court would be guilty of “judicial activism” if it overturned the law. He also argued that the justices should uphold the individual mandate, saying it’s a key — and constitutional — piece of the law.

“We are confident that this will be upheld because it should be upheld,” Obama said at a joint news conference at the White House with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Mexican President Felipe Calderon….”

That’s because you live in a socialist country where people have given up so much ground, that they have no choice but to fear their government masters.

Sorry, pal, you and Zero may think he’s Chavez, but this still ain’t Venezuela.

Again with a smug generalization and no data to back it up. Two seconds on Google to find contrary evidence.

Not a lot fear in evidence, asshat.

Not that I expect you to be able to read for comprehension, given the ideological blinders with which you stumble through life.

I’ll raise your smug generalization with a leap to a stupid conclusion, moron.

I was talking about Eurostan. Canuckistan has stumbled back (somewhat) with the new Conservative gov’t.

Of course, they still have the embarrassing Speech Police incidents with Steyn and others, but that Leftist idiocy has somewhat tailed off due to national mockery.

Nice attempt, but “fail fail again.”

So, when you say “your country” to a Canadian, it means “a continent across the ocean”.

Well, I may have to change my view of you, Jake. Clearly, you meant something far different from what you actually wrote when you said that:
–Rick “Oops” Perry “is head and shoulders the only one who will survive the nomination”
–Herman Cain was a serious candidate that would make liberal heads explode (or melt, or something gory and violent like that – the fan boy spittle smudged some of the words
–using the power of the state to force doctors to commit rape by instrument was consistent with libertarian principles

And, your craziest statement of all time, found at this link (I won’t shock your fans by extracting the relevant statement): http://ibankcoin.com/flyblog/2008/05/06/an-interview-with-jake-gint-professional-stock-blog-commentor/

I’m not sure how you meant us to read such crazy stuff, but I’m relieved to learn that we can rule out anything close to what you actually wrote.

Try and make a tiny bit of sense next time, Otts. I’m sure that comment took you all night and half a bottle of single malt to concoct, but frankly, it’s a fucking disaster.

That’s not how the courts work in this country.

Correct me if I am wrong……

Watching the news last night , 0bama basically threatened the Supremes and said the court should be very careful about overturning a law passed by a strong …(pardon me for laughing) majority of elected officials.

As I recall, that is precisely the function and purpose of the Supreme court. Upending and overturning laws that run counter to the Constitution.
Maybe I am mistaken but they are not supposed to be a rubber stamp outfit.
