Man Santorum just doesn’t get it. Yes there are positives about Iran’s nuclear scientists being killed, but you don’t go around and call it a “wonderful thing” as a public display of arrogance that completely takes away the possibility of covert action without being suspected and opens the door for any other nation to strike in our name so we become the scape goat. Show some self restraint and say something that at least sounds a little more diplomatic like “it’s a tragedy, and I empathize with the Iranians but globally there are enough nuclear weapons in this world, and a positive consequence is that it may keep the world safer for the time being.” This way you still communicate the views that this is a good thing without arrogantly rubbing it in their faces.
Why do we need to give them any more motivation to instigate retaliation?
I believe covert action is best. Publicly you talk at least neutral enough that when you get into office you can increase your talks of how peaceful you are going to be, without drawing skepticism while covertly you send in all the Jack Bauers and covert black ops guys you have. This option is completely off the table regarding Santorum. Romney it may still be salvaged if we are lucky, Ron Paul, you at least have covert operations that are compartmentalized so that the president has plausible deniability that will likely still go on even if the president doesn’t authorize it officially.
In the information age, the way you go to war is by false flag attacks and spreading false intelligence. You blame an attack on Korea on say Iran, and let Kim Jung Unh go exhaust his economic resources destroying our enemy and you kill two birds with one stone. You move the chess pieces so that you can unite with the side that poses the biggest threat, (making them no longer a threat) while secretly using it’s enemies against them and weakening them so that when the tide turns, they are much less of a threat if they are no longer your ally…
Meanwhile you mostly protect the American people, while putting both your enemies vulnerable and potentially giving you a window to kill two birds with one stone. You simply can’t accomplish this if you have a warmongering big government punk like Santorum
santorum is a POS. when the powers that be tell him its time to pack up his camp and take the envelope he will fold like a cheap suit,but not until they are down to the last 3 rpub choices.
