Here’s the part that I don’t get about “the 99%”. If the governments of the world are beholden to the 1%, and the 1% has made it really fucking clear over the past two weeks that what they want is Eurobonds, then why the fuck are the politicians fucking around with these bullshit half-measures?
Either the governments of the world are run by complete dunderheaded idiots, or their backers really do want to blow it all to hell.
The latter makes no sense (nobody with political or economic power today has anything to gain from seeing the world turn into a Mad Max postapocalyptic hell). And although the former notion is plainly true on its face…
…oh, shit. Well, I guess I do understand it then. They really are dumb enough not to do what they’re told.
