Ha. I have not been in many environments that train.
A business wants a person to hit the ground running.
Technology changes extremely fast.
It is difficult to meet the highly specific requirements that most employers ask for today.
It is also difficult for the applicant to justify the cost of retraining themselves. (since everything changes very rapidly.)
