UPDATE: They are using cellphones for flashlights and all families are gathered around the fireplace, in one room, in order to stay warm. They are without water and food.

I’m sorry,but, I have little or no sympathy for this group. The spokesman for this group called cnn basically because they felt the authorities weren’t responding quickly enough. The anchor for CNN did a great job settling this woman down and explaining, in the nicest way he could, that the authorities were probably overwhelmed due to the storm. He then asked why they were up there in the first place, and they said they were on a vacation and just decided to stay there because of the storm.
Ok, that makes sense. What DOESN’T make ANY sense is that, if you had children and pregnant women, wouldn’t you want to stock up on supplies prior to a major storm? According to this rocket scientist, she didn’t do anything because “Well, hurricanes are out at sea right? I mean, everyone was talking about nyc, so I figured nothing would happen up here.” Ummmm…youre only a three hour drive from nyc. What made you think that there was some sort of barrier that would block the hurricane???? To quote the comedian Bill Engvall, “Here’s your sign”…
