I’ve never seen or heard of a bail hearing lasting this long. But it appears the Canadian judge bestowed mercy unto the criminal, Meng Wanzhou. Perhaps now the Chinese will release the Canadian diplomat?
Here’s the hilarious rundown and absurd conditions set forth by the royal magistrate.
#MengWanzhou's team had proposed 12 conditions for her to comply with if she is granted bail. Judge just read them out in court, but it's unclear whether or not he will agree with them in the final decision. #huawei

Well, if you remember, China executed the executives behind the tainted milk that killed babies. I don’t believe we’d do that in this country and Canada doesn’t have capital punishment. I’ve spoken to Canadians, well they were Québécois mostly, who think Americans are barbarians for allowing states rights to control and permit capital punishment. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/8375638.stm – – > Recent History Lesson
why didn’t HuaWei provide the $10 million bail money?
The judge wanted people with local connections to provide some of the money. Some of her neighbours have put up large sums backed up with their homes.
Her husband offered to provide all of it but as he only has a temporary visa the judge thought that he and his wife’s interests were equivalent and therefore he would not accept the offer.
I assume that the local people providing bail money is only window dressing, and if she indeed manages to leave the country she will pay them back her forfeited bail.
All the other conditions are what she herself has offered in order to counter the accusations that she is an extreme flight risk.
So private security (Lions Gate) is in charge on ensuing she remian within county? That seems odd to me for such a high-profile case.
When someone is out on bail they are responsible themselves for ensuring they follow the bail conditions. She could easily afford to flee the country on a private jet so she herself offered to hire the security company to keep tabs on her.
