Happy Sunday — Tales of Me and My Coyote

Two days ago, on my way out to walk my rescue coyote, she nearly took my hand off when she bolted out of the house chasing down some deer, who were stupidly eating a bush on my front lawn. My index finger scraped against the storm door and resulted in a very bloody finger and deep gash, which drew nothing but elation and pride — seeing that I truly have a deranged animal who is loyal to me in my company. Why, with her by my side, I can literally train her to eat people.

There isn’t a day that goes by when she doesn’t try to eat another animal, attack the tires of a moving school bus, a bicyclist, or a fucking jogger.

I have two dogs, one a rescue, the other we bought from the store at 4 months old. The home grown one is a gigantic pussy and everyone in the neighborhood likes her. But now when I walk the rescue, people get off the sidewalk and carry about their journey in the streets — where they belong.

Good news on the cowardly dog front: the coyote’s animalistic fervor is rubbing off on the Carlton Banks of dogs, and my home grown dog is joining in on the attacks when sojourning on joint trips.

Yesterday we went to the dog park and the coyote immediately asserted her alpha by violently attacking “Racer”, the resident pack leader.

My allergies are going crazy this time of year. Whenever I head outside, it debilitates me for a solid three hours of sneezing penance. I’m popping claritins with my cold brew coffee and tossing in some extra creatine, so that when I sneeze, my lungs get stronger. I find running the central cooling system 24 hours per day helps, so I set the fan to on and proceed to freeze out everyone else in the house until I stop sneezing. I haven’t stopped sneezing since mid May.

I visited Cape May last week. It was my first time down there and I enjoyed it a lot, especially the old victorian homes — all very ornate and haunting. The water at the beach was very warm too, which was surprising since the weather has been anything but hot.

I look forward to Monday’s trade and expect the gains to continue. However, seeing the run I’ve been on, I am somewhat hesitant to take on brand new positions. Who am I kidding? I’ll never stop chasing the dream of uninterrupted success.

Happy Sunday.

I used to suffer badly in allergy season as well but Flonase, which has been available over the counter for several years now, cuts my misery more than in half, YMMV. Used to be a Claritin/Zyrtec man but Flonase is way better. As for going to an actual doctor, that’s for less virile men than myself.

I use Claritin D + Flonase and my allergy problem is well contained.

Not sure why you’re so averse to nasal spray but it should be worth a couple of seconds of discomfort in exchange for a day of relief from allergies.

Your call but Flonase is your answer.

I used to have a real coyote at my previous house (the one with all of the bears) and he would show no fear towards me at all until I would shoot a Laser BB gun in the air.
He would haul. Even the bears and various foxes would run when I would yell at them
Not the coyote. He looked at me like I was an animal carcass.

True. Coyotes are bad fucking news. Sure they kill the rabbits and various vermin. Also every other living thing they can.

I feel sorry for you Dr. Fly and all folks with allergies. My mom use to suffer from allergies and migraines. I personally have no allergies whatsoever except for poverty.

careful Fly – if your dog does bite someone, or another dog, you might be forced to put her down (not sure what the laws are where you live)…keep her under control.

Common Law and adopted via statute in most states is that every dog is entitled to one free bite. After that bite there is a presumption that the owner has knowledge of the dog’s propensity to bite.

yes i serve on the Dangerous Dog Board in my County in Florida and even if the dog kills another dog (or causes just minor harm to a human) at most he can be labeled a dangerous dog requiring registration, muzzling, fencing. We can only put down the dog after that if there is a second repeat animal attack or person attack. So first animal kill, perhaps unjustly, is a freebie. But know your jurisdiction. I live in God’s Country and the laws may be a bit more civilized in the land of f scott fitzgerald and the enlightened ones

Weak immune system, genetic. Move to southern AZ. Open carry is permitted so rabid dogs can be shot on sight.

That’s bullshit. Immune system is on point everywhere, and never get sick. No flu shots either. In CO I never have allergies, figure it out yet?

There is an acupuncture treatment for allergies that often helps people with inhalant allergies, as well as other kinds of allergies. Called NAET. Maybe there is an acupuncturist in your area who does it. The web site has a practitioner locator page.
