We have tried the solution of “throwing the bums out” repeatedly. Unfortunately the people we then voted FOR were financed by the same Special Interests Groups as the people we voted out of office.
We need to change the system of campaign finance. Of course current members of Congress won’t vote to do that. So we have to find honest competent folks who pledge not to accept one cent of Special Interest Group money, and ask them to run for office and support them. And write them into the ballot if necessary.
The folks on the ballot are usually all fund raisers with no interest in true public service or competently operating a government.
I’m fine with the kibble.
