With my money, I love the oil story. For the month of April, historically, oil and gas stocks do very well.
Let me keep it simple for you. I am long OXY, WFT, WNR and VLO in great size. To go with that, I am long DAL, LCC, MWW, FORM, X etc. There are many stocks on my watchlist, like food safety play NEOG (think Japan) or oil sands equipment play WG. However, for now, considering the run we’ve had, I am sticking with my holdings and will be taking profits whenever my pet alligator snaps at my shoes.

And I am curious why there is no mention of the USD/NOK connection. Would seem to me a good play would be Norwegian oil companies and related issues. But, WTF do I know sitting here in anticipation of rare but charred on the outside with grilled shitakes and garlic butter. Charlie Krug’s shop will send over some primo red juice.
Ruggyup…The NOK has been thrown in with the other “Commodity Plays”, ala AUD, NZD, CAD. With AUD at historical highs and the RBA meeting tonight, not giddy happy about their exporters
( that are not miners) getting hurt by its strength it is a chancey move imho to go long NOK today. For the Tankers, 22% increase of Tankers being used as storage for March at Sea…so a lot of speculators are darn hoping for the Summer Drive Season to bring in some profits. I have to ponder this a little more….thank you, I always love something new to think about.
