Bears Clown Raped in Pleasant Afternoon Trading

If I haven’t hammered home the message yet, into your stupid/thick skulls, you are a lost cause and have no right reading this Godly site.

Year to date gains stretched above 7% for the first time in 2011 and my balls still swing low. Enjoy your weekend and quit drinking such low end wine.

NOTE: Bulls salsa danced all over bear faces today.

I don’t get why so many tech analysis guys downplay the EEM. It has almost as much volume as the SPY nowadays. Emerging markets have not looked safe to short for several days . This was particularly true of the EPI India and EWZ Brazil markets.

Yes, this market has seen some manipulated bounces. But, this one was organic.
Unless were supposed to believe “the bernanke” is buying the India/Brazil stock exchanges too.

The thing I hate most about “Typical/Classic Egyptian Bullshit” is how typical it really is. This nonsense that’s taking place right now is just another non-event in a long line of Trivial, Egyptian Melodrama (TEM). It’s textbook attention-seeking behavior, and the media keeps feeding into it. Ridiculous.

To me, the whole thing is like the boy who cried wolf.

    Speaking of children:

Egypt, if you’re so ancient and shit, why is it taking you so long to grow the fuck up? Assholes.

You’d be dramatic too if you made 2 dollars a day, and your average trip to the police station resembled one of those “Hostel” movie torture scenes. The fact that they put up with that crap for 40 years is actually pretty admirable. Americans sue airlines when were forced to wait on the tarmac for 4 hours.

Yes, those of us born into middle class or above in a developed country are very fortunate to have won the birth lottery. Most of us have no clue what folks elsewhere are going through. You can’t “grow up” when your basic needs are not met.

The most radical and dangerous folks are young adult males from upper middle class families. Poor people scrambling to survive are not even thinking about bombing and killing people. It’s people with basic needs met, time on their hands to think crazy stuff, and resources to put shit together.

True. However, the way these young adult males from upper middle class families rise to power usually is because poor people, who are scrambling to survive, follow them. Bin Laden would have had little power without a lot of desperate poor followers who didn’t have much economically & who didn’t think there was some better person to follow in their community. Bin Laden did what he did for power.

Of course wealthy rich folks have the time and resources to rise to the top of these organizations. But the organizations as a whole are mostly poor desperate folks.

How wrong you are – I am a millionaire and all my Saudi 9/11 hijackers were not poor. We are religious nutcases – we are against foreigner influence and armies in islamic lands. It is true that the ignorant masses follow this phony islamic crap too. This Egypt situation could be the beginning of something big – do not write it off .

Of course the 9/11 hijackers were not poor deprived down and out people. They had to learn to fly airplanes. These are still the few educated privileged folks at the top of the organization. But if only the few top privileged folks were there, they would not have done what they did. They did it for power– power over large numbers of poor down and out folks who follow them. If there is no large number of poor followers, there is no power to be grabbed, and no organization even gets going.

You are bedeviled by your socialist miasma.

There are very few participants in AQ outside of the wealthy middle class university types.

They do use the occassional hamburger patrol for bomb stuff, but its the asshole intellectuals who dominate, just like in our radical problem families like the megajillionaire Ayres, etc.

The top level folks are worshipped by the poor people, like rock stars or movie stars are here. Bin Laden built hospitals and schools and did various good things for the poor too, so that he could be considered to be a savior by them.

Of course everywhere the most privileged educated rich folks rise to the top levels of organizations. But there are a ton of poor folks below them– who are their followers who look up to them.

Those folks in the streets, who were shown on TV in the past, with all the Death to America signs, are not rich.

Why does everything with you have to be Socialist vs. Right Wing? Can’t we ever just have a conversation without all that? We are effectively divided and conquered by the 2 party system. If there was some huge difference between Obama and G W Bush, I sure don’t see it. And if Republicans are the Libertarians you seem to think they are, they sure aren’t acting like it.

I know you think there will never be a viable 3rd party, but you just wait. One of these days it will show up and it will surprise you.

Egyptian drama doesn’t mean much today, but one has to wonder who will end up as the next Egyptian Pharoah. Will it be a reasonable guy? Or someone like the Ayatollah, Hamas or Hezbollah. (there’s Iran, Gaza, Lebannon) I hope Egypt can morph into something like a western democracy, but it’s really not in their cultural history to do that. The hard core Islamists make our mafia dudes look like choir boys. So I hope it’s not them, but that’s my fear. Mubarak had his downside, but at least he was stable.

We cut taxes in the 80’s and revenues increased. They too were overspent.

Tell that to David Stockman …

People forget the panic at the WH when Reagan’s plan for recovery was not kicking in as fast as expected and economic advisers were on a merry-go-round. They ended up raising taxes but were intent on spending cuts then too …

“The goal is to hold the fiscal 1984 deficit to no more than $50 billion, vs. current Administration projections of at least $150 billion. Says one top White House policymaker: “Reagan is the only politician who has a chance to cut entitlements and get spending back on the same track with revenues. The public is overwhelmingly behind more budget cuts, but it is going to be bloody.”

All the Regan revisionists are frauds, as was/is trickle down economics. The truth of the matter was that Regan took credit for a process that was already put in place by Volker – AND WE ALL KNOW IT! Volker raised rated in classic Keynesian fashion to kill inflation. The reduction of rates in the early 80’s was the next natural step to get people back to work and raise GDP. Anyone that credits that criminal Regan with any economic know how are either fucking idiots or charlatans.

The Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, that were just extended but that have been going on for years now have not increased tax revenues. They have decreased them and made the deficit larger and will continue to do so. I don’t know if U R right about the 80’s or not; perhaps there was some special situation there. But in recent years the tax cuts have increased the deficit big time.

as a guy who has probably served a hundred thousand drinks as a bartender, saving cash for my first business venture…

I can tell you in absolute terms that in a mixed drink and a social setting absolutely nobody can tell the difference between well vodka and >insert your favorite top shelf type here<. I have experimented on this literally hundreds of times, swapping vodkas so that someone gets a different one every time, and so on

        # of times anybody ever said anything without SEEING me put the wrong vodka in: zero

you can frequently also substitute beers, tap of course, for one another provided they are the same color, in a case where a keg blows and its either lose half an hour of time or just pour the wrong thing to keep the pub humming along.

in a gin/tonic you can also freely substitute gins with the exception of only a couple of types that are distinctive.

And with vodka, even in martinis, its very rare that anybody in a social setting drinking vodka martinis calls you out.

Its the ultimate superior good, in a way. the more you charge for it the better people think it is, even though in a blind taste test that entire theory would get "clown raped" "full retard" style.

I actually likes me some Tanq, but it’s a completely different taste than Bombay. They are not even close.

In an effort to make things a little easier for you I was trying to say you pay for my plane ticket and cost of same can be deducted from the $10k you will owe me.

Regarding said plane ticket… when boarding a commercial airliner I only turn left. I don’t sit in back with the riff-raff. First Class is preferred obvsiously, but Business Class will do in a pinch.

It all depends on the tonic – if you use the same exact tonic that you drink on a regular basis, I’d be able to tell, but I doubt you are because at home it comes out of a bottle. At a bar it comes out of that soda dispenser – the tonic always tastes like crap at most bars.

There are plenty of $10 wines that taste just as good as $300 wines. Wine preference is very much a personal thing – you drink what you like, thus spending a bunch of money is not necessary. Almost any white wine you give me I’ll spit out.

My wine cellar holds 1100 bottles, and the big difference price gets you is the ability to age the wine – if you fill a cellar with $15 wines, you better drink all of it within 3 years. More expensive wines can age for 15 years or more. That’s why the average person is a sucker to buy expensive wines, they aren’t going to age them.

And the easiest way to tell an expensive wine from a cheap wine – its the thickness of the bottle – fine wines should always be in a very thick bottle for aging purposes – if it’s not, it is a fraud.

I know what you ladies are thinking… you are thinking “checklist, you are 35 and losing your hair and not nearly as cool as you maaaaaaaybe once were, no way in hell the 2nd hottest girl at the bar is sleeping in your new condos bdrm while you pace around wishing you were tired”

But in fact that is the case. You see, once, I was something…. not victorious and complacent but young and hungry with something to prove. Now and again that better part of me surfaces.
