Horror Strikes Wall Street: S&P Drops by 0.21%

Despite many of you mentally ill types clamoring for “end of days,” the S&P burped during today’s session. The near term fate of the market will be decided by tomorrow’s jobs reports.

As for me, I have decided to transition over to my Social Networking thesis, in a big way. This means that any and all holdings can be sold at any moment, even now! Going with that theme, over the past two days I’ve bought shares of CTCT, RLOC, QNST and SFLY, all up more than 3% so far.

If you haven’t noticed by now, I am swing trading, almost exclusively, taking 10-20% rips per week. It’s like stealing intelligence from a southerner.

For the day, I was down 0.27%.

The future is social networking! Any business that helps fat ugly chicks get fucked or act like bitches is going to do very well.

Social networking gives ugly divorced chicks hope, hope that they’ll get laid again, someday, possibly but that old flame who dumped them, when they got fat. And until that shit happens they can use the social networking to rant and rave about their X being a looooser asshole and how great their stupid fucking kids are. Welcome to the new world narcissism.

            Try this.
            1) Get a FB account.
            2) Wait for all your old flames to friend you, especially the ones who got rid of their sperm donor.
            3) Read their posts.
            4) Start puking.

The action in NVDA is ludicrous. NVDA is now valued at $11B and AMD is $5B where AMD does twice their annual revenue, 6x their net income, and 5x their EPS. PFFFFFFFFFFTTTTT.

If you do a search for any company having to do with “communication” and overlay average volume over 500K, was positive today, and has price over $5 you’ll see that 70% (91) of the 129 matches are within 10% of their 52wk highs. If you narrow it down with the same parameters plus filter out just the results in the technology sector, 88 of the 91 (97%) remaining stocks are within 10% of their 52wk highs!

If you remove the “communication” filter and use the same parameters for all of the Technology sector, 101 out of 283 stocks (36%) are within 10% of their 52wk highs.

That’s some serious NAZty momentum for “communication” stocks in the technology sector.

People are paying up for buzz and CES related stuff. There is massive excitement for this crap, which means valuation is out the window. Think of how many restaurants you can book online, declare you’re at in Facebook, get coupons for through Google, tweet stupid pictures of your food about, and make obnoxious calls to your friends on your iPhone (now through Verizon!) during your meal.

*Correction: 62 of 91 (68%) hits in the “communication” and technology search are within 10% of their 52wk highs NOT 97% as shown before. Furthermore, it is interesting to also note that 75% (15 of 20) of stocks in the “communication” and technology search with short positions north of 10% of their float are within 10% of their 52wk highs.

**Admin: Note the Sector dropdown in the PPT changes back to “Any” after a screen is completed, making it confusing what has been screened.

Jobs number comes in around 160k and the bears will roar for a few minutes only to be tea-bagged by the continuing bull run. I am praying for a selloff. Shorts, how does it feel to fail?

If jobs come in stronger, we rally for 1 hour, then selloff and end +30 pts on Dow.

If jobs come in weaker, or in-line, we selloff for 2 hours, then rally and end -30 pts on Dow.

    No big deal.
