How lucky are you, exactly?
With Monday off, but everyone else trading, U.S. markets will “enjoy” double upside or downside on Tuesday. It’s like the market will be converted into an ULTRA-MARKET, if only for one day. So, if Europe gets raped on Monday, prepare for a 3%+ down day on Tuesday.
As far as I am concerned, there is little reason to play casino, ahead of a long weekend, after making a “fuck load” of money in my positions. So, as you know, I sold out of many positions, threw on a few hedges, and will relax like a heroin addled pelican over the weekend, while chomping on BBQ chicken, ribs and steak.
In short, I am not sure, so I have put myself in a position to do no harm.
Have a great weekend and prepare for Mr. Devil Dog’s presentation (Fly cartoon) to iBC, sometime Sunday night, ahead of Asian trading.

Actually, I didn’t have anyone teach me a damn thing! When the credit was flowing as easy as a summer breeze in 2005 and 2006 I am as gulity as everyone else tapping my home as an ATM. I borrowed over $300K against my ATM house. The difference between me and a majority of other “house tappers” is that I took that money and started a business. I didn’t buy an SUV, or a motorhome, or a boat, or go on a vacation or even fix up my house. I took that money and invested it in the only thing that I believed in….MYSELF! Over the next 3 years I built a money making machine of a business. (without going into details it was a business that I knew a lot about and worked as someone else’s slave over the last decade). In late 2009 my business was doing extremely well and my experience as a daytrader told me to get the fuck out! It is like watching a stock you’re in LONG rocket toward the moon…. That extreme volume and excitement and that nice long GREEN bar going skywards…….That’s the sign- GET THE FUCK OUT! That’s how my business felt last year. It was peaking and I sold out just like I’ve done a million times as a daytrader. Get the fuck out when things are ROSEY ODONELL. I’m only now realizing how my experience as a trader saved me a FUCK load of money. The business I sold last year is on the Gulf coast of Florida. The BP oil spill has fucked my company and the new owner into a new state of HELL. While I am siitting pretty and using my $$$$$ to pay off all my mortgages, debts, and current bills, and have speculation, FUN money to play in the casino (stock market), the new owner is in a state of HELL, SHOCK, DISBELIEF and maybe soon to be BANKRUPT. Should I feel okay? Should I feel AWESOME in how I TIMED this TRADE to PERFECTION? I made out like a fucking BANDIT and this guy is stuck with the shit in the mud! Welcome to America! Capitalism is at its BEST. Over here it is how much you can fuck over the next person to fulfill your own gains. Well I don’t feel RIGHT. It’s not okay. Growing up I was so poor I couldn’t pay attention. With an attitude that was no less impressive than my state of destitution. At one of my youthful, frequent encounters with an officer in blue, I was told “you’re either going a long way, or going to jail”. Fast forward forty years — 2 U degrees; allstar recruit into the corporate world — quit and start my own thing — starve – success – wealth. Now everyone who works for me gets an opp to make of themselves whatever they are capable of making of themselves. All I could have asked for coming up.
And this market BS — well let’s just say that my eyes are wide open, and more enlightened (or perhaps my own positions/conclusions have been validated) because of this site and the a lot of the posters on it — including you jlab. I pretty much had written off the whole notion of anyone under 40 being anything but narcissistic — you have actually given me pause.

My wife and I and another couple are going to see George Jones next Friday. My dad moved Here from North Carolina, and he made many trip to Nashville. I would ride with him and we would visit the publishing companies there. What was interesting about my dad, is the guy that wrote George Jones biggest hit, I think his name was Curley Putnam, would meet my day down in Nashville, and they would go to lunch and just hang out there together. Curley Putnam was his name and he was a siding salesman at the time, and he ended up writting two big hits. One was, The Green Geeen Grass of home… and the other song was… He stopped loving her today. That ended up be a monster size hit for George.
