If the stocks you bought had any real value, you probably wouldn’t feel the need to raise cash every time the overall markets get extended.
I don’t raise cash on days like today… I buy the value names for even cheaper prices.
I think your constant gung-ho comments that then switch to ‘raise cash’ overnight is just confusing to readers and unhelpful. It’s also very unclear what your actual strategy is. Fortunately, I never follow any of your trades and do fine.

Bought some PNCL today. Cleared the Sept highs and breaking out of a nice 5 month base.
Careful, $PNCL does look nice here but has major potential resistance just above around $8.25 and then 1000 day SMA just below $9. Best way to get above overhead res is to gap up pretty soon, which would be good for u and would clear the way to $9. I like the volume on the recent up days. Good luck.

A long-shot use of money …Coakley will likely win by 2 or 3%. However, lower turn-out special elections do not bring out all the usual suspects; this may be good for Brown. Also, there is a Kennedy name on the ballot (an independent candidate) and those who are genetically programmed to vote Kennedy will hurt Coakley.
Me, I’ll vote for old Joe Kennedy. Among the reasons I will not pull the lever for Brown is that he went along with the Iraq war fiasco (if you won’t stand up for your country on matters of war and peace, what use are you?), and he posed nude as a Cosmo centerfold (I support the double standard.)

On January 19th, American society may change as we know it. Either Scott Brown or Martha Coakley will win the Senate race in Mass. If Scott wins, then the healthcare legislation, as well as other legislation, will not go through. This seat is the 60th vote and it would kill the legislation if Scott were elected. WLP and many other healthcare providers would instantly sell off maybe 10-20% or more.

I read the Bill Gross Pimco column linked from a story in the IBC newsbot. In short, Gross says government market support is scheduled to wind down, and 2010 is likely to be a rough year for stock prices.
Except for “having” to write something for show, why would anything said in public by a major player be viewed as credible? They must be positioning themselves the opposite of what they are preaching for public consumption.
Or throwing any old verbiage out there, to see the reaction or because it makes no difference anyway.
