I particularly enjoy short squeezes in the worst stocks. It just pisses off the bears to no end, seeing pure bullshit rocket ship higher. With that in mind, with the help of The PPT, I developed a custom screen to help identify low priced stocks, primed for a short squeeze.

2H July Price Stable — Data released by DisplaySearch show panel prices flat
across the board for all applications (LCD TV, NB, & DT) for 2H July. We
believe unch’d pricing reflects the significant re-stocking that has occurred in
the supply chain. While GLW bears will raise concerns of rolling panel prices,
we note that with panel prices up significantly from mid-Dec (LCD monitors
+29%, NB +19%, & LCD TV +10%) it should not be surprising to see a pause.
Stability Reflects Current Conditions, but What if Demand Ramps? — We
believe panel pricing reflects current supply/demand balance, which has
benefited from re-stocking. However, we believe bias for panel prices is likely
higher heading into seasonally stronger 3Q/4Q. Also, re-lighting of tanks by
GLW & competitors also likely assuaged channel fears of glass shortage – we
see this as positive as it should eliminate glass double-booking risk to GLW.
Simply put, we don’t view this as beginning of the end for glass cycle.
Stock Call — Remain buyers of GLW & look for solid print & guidance when
GLW reports BMO Mon July 27th. Glass cycle still has legs beyond 1H09
restocking, which we expect will hand off to 2H & beyond end-market demand.
We expect further positive EPS revisions through year end on strength on solid
volumes & firm pricing. We believe GLW will raise CY09 glass forecast to
~2.3bln ft2 on 2Q call; we see pot’ CY10 total glass market of ~2.7bln ft2.
