Dunno about your explanation. The Bay area is high tech etc. so it’s a leading sector of the US economy. if that area is lifting it’s important to watch, not necessarily the rest of the country, but important anyway.
Real estate will not lead the country out of recession. That economics 101: Industrial production leads the country out of recession. However real estate has to also stabilize and the Bay area could be showing signs of that.
The lagging co-incident indicators came yesterday which showed for the third month in a row now that the US economy has flattened out. it also may be indicating that next month will be up. If it is I will hang my name to the forecast that the US economy comes of recession in June affirmed by the lagging indicators in July.
