Regarding yesterday’s panic in gold and the gold stocks that broke out as the S&P rallied…
Note that the gold ETF (GLD) sold ZERO ounces yesterday. What we did apparently get was a large number of shorts in the futures and in this proshares ultra short gold ETF (GLL), which traded record volume yesterday as bears laid their bets that gold is somehow some sort of “put” on stocks (which it’s not and never will be).
That’s a recipe for a renewed surge higher very shortly as these bears are forced to cover, and even more so in the gold stocks, which relative to gold are now back to the record low levels that we saw in late November
